About April Dace
My name is April Dace. I grew up in the Motor City. Seventeen years ago, I moved to Nashville to work in the entertainment industry as a video producer and story teller. Nashville’s southern charm immediately won me over. It's a city that breathes creativity and provides an environment for creatives to express themselves through many outlets. My passion for all things creative spilled over into interior design and a fascination with historic homes. Turning Sweetbriar Patch into a respite for travelers visiting Nashville has become one of my favorite unexpected hobbies.

Why April Dace chose Belmont/Hillsboro
Sweetbriar is my second VRBO property. I love creating environments and sourcing pieces to fill a space, so I wanted to find a property that was historic. When I came across this house I knew it had the charm and location perfect for guests who wanted a taste of what Nashville is like--especially it's 12 South and Hillsboro Village burgeoning neighborhoods. I hope my Sweetbriar Patch will provide a tranquil place for you to relax during your stay in Nashville. Lastly, since one of my passions is serving. At the heart of my job, I serve people--clients, artists, and my crew. Alongside my love for home renovation, design, and my city--I look forward to creating and sharing my little corner of the world with you.
What makes this Apartment unique
The location can't be beat whether you're visiting the universities or coming to Nashville for a getaway. Downtown is less than 3 miles away. Belmont, 12th South and Hillsboro Village are great boroughs with killer shopping, restaurants and coffee shops. And you can't leave this town without a taste of Jeni's Ice Cream!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Clean Comfortable and Quirky
I had trouble with the automatic lock...... it was frustrating, There was a 3 inch rise going into the bathroom where one could stub ones toe. As I lied down to sleep, I realized there was a bright streetlight coming through the bedroom window. The TV had minimal channels and one morning the toilet broke, Other than those things. the stay was lovely
Quiet location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and a grocery store. Quick drive to other attractions such as Broadway.
Convenient Easy Quiet in Music City
I'm very familiar with Nashville, and I was in town for an overnight. The Perch is a perfect, convenient walk-up spot in a quiet, very treed neighborhood location with easy access to 21st Ave. (for Belmont and Vanderbilt, Hillsboro Village, also the Green Hills shopping area) and the 440 highway (though it's undergoing construction, was easy a.m. drive to airport). Again, knowing neighborhood, walking around offers nice amenities, too, like Kroger down the street, other retail and a few restaurants toward Hillsboro Village and on Belmont Boulevard. It's not Downtown, but easy to get there along the happening route of 21st./Broadway/West End Ave., and once back at Perch, you'll breathe easier and enjoy some peace and quiet! I didn't use the kitchen other than a couple of glasses, and to make coffee, but the full and stocked washer/dryer area was a fantastic bonus as I did laundry for my college-aged son, while we watched a movie! I intend to book again, as well as investigate the main house over which the Perch sits!
Quiet and private but centrally located
Great room and location. Would benefit from directions for the television and if the security light clicked on as you are climbing the stairs. Also, I was there 2 nights. I thought the cleaning fee was high when they asked guests to strip the bed and take out the trash and suggested guests start the wash. Not much else to do if I am going to do those things.
Fun Time In Nashville
My husband and I wanted a quick trip away from reality. We decided to head to Nashville. The perch was super charming and had everything we needed for our stay. It was perfect for the two of us! The location was really great too. We took a short walk one morning to the Pancake Pantry which was super delicious! It was also a quick Uber ride from Broadway. We got out of town just in time for all the craziness of the NFL draft. I would definitely come back to the perch and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Nashville.
Absolutely loved staying here, the bed was super comfy and the neighborhood was very safe and chill. Took about 15 minutes to walk to 12 South and about the same to drive to downtown, so it's not totally in the middle of everything. But definitely felt at home.
