This up-scale second-floor apartment is located in the best part of Trastevere, near the Piazza Trilusso, one of Rome's most charming neighbourhoods.
It has been newly renovated with sleek modern lines, fully equipped kitchen and luxurious modern bathrooms. The living room offers a fireplace for cozy evenings, and a small terrace off the separate dining room is perfect for outdoor meals in Spring, Summer, and Fall. The apartment is on two floors, with a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, and another double bed, plus a single bed, and second bathroom, on the second floor.
Stroll narrow, cobbled streets lined by medieval houses, bars and restaurants. Outdoor markets and both charming and funky shops line the street too. At night both Romans and foreigners flock to its many pubs and restaurants. The area is also home to John Cabot University and the American Academy in Rome. You will be walking to St. Peters, the Botanical Gardens, Castle San Angelo, and the most beautiful Medieval Church, Santa Maria in Trastevere. Just a short stroll across the River Tiber (Tevere) is the historic centre, heart of ancient Rome, the Campo dei Fiori, Rome's most famous outdoor market, elegant Via Giulia, Piazza Navonna, and all the sites you will want to visit. The unique character of this ancient neighbourhood has attracted artists, expats, and famous Romans.
The most professional team you could imagine and a location with something for everyone. Their recommended driver (Elie) meet us at the airport and when he heard we hadn't had breakfast he stopped the car at a local shop and bought us coffee and a wonderful pastry. Alessandro meet us at the door to the cool air conditioned apartment and explained what we needed to know for our stay. That evening I received another email from Adriana suggesting a few possibilities for sightseeing. I would stay at Dieci again as well as any other location represented by Commendable.
For a place in Europe, this is quite a large apartment. Bigger than we expected which was great as we were travelling with 4 adults and an infant. The kitchen has everything needed and the washer/dryer was convenient for us as we stayed 9 days. If you are looking for a quiet vacation, this is not the place for you. The apartment is in the middle of the action. The windows do an amazing job of blocking out the noise, though. We loved being in this neighbourhood. Plenty of good food just outside the door. Also, we walked everywhere. A couple of our day trips we took a taxi to our destination and walked back. (There is a taxi stand very near the apartment.) We would recommend this apartment and would come back here ourselves to visit amazing Rome again.
“Dieci” is so much more spacious than the pictures show, and in the center of lively Trastevere. The apartment fits perfectly with the neighborhood - vibrant and bright, with a truly unique character. I especially loved the high wood-beamed ceilings, aesthetically beautiful while creating a very spacious environment. Everything was immaculately prepared when we arrived, with everything at hand. Every room felt comfortable, even the spacious and modern bathrooms (not a Rome staple), and WIFI worked like a charm. The kitchen has everything, even a full size refrigerator, which I’m told is also not common. Just off the dining area is a charming terrace facing an interior courtyard. Leaving the terrace door open brought a little bit of Rome in, peaceful, with a colorful Roman view. Outside the apartment, you step right onto the cobblestones of Trastevere. I felt like a local! We had a delicious meal of Roman street food at a trendy “hole-in-the-wall” called Pianostrada, a minute away! I would love to stay again!
A special thanks to Alessandro who responded swiftly and graciously at a time of need, at a not pleasant hour. Also highly recommend Elie, the driver to the airport coordinated by Commendable Rentals - he is a gem!
We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your beautiful apartment in Trastevere. Elie offered us a fantastic welcome to Rome by not only being a gracious and generous host but also a great driver. :-). It put our minds at rest knowing he would be driving us to the train station. Grazie, Elie!!! Alessandro also took great care of us. He was at the apartment to welcome us and answer any questions we had. We also got quick responses when we called for answers to additional questions or had an issue that needed to be resolved. In addition, it was a pleasure working with you, Adriana. You and your organization provide courteous and professional services. We appreciate the part you played in making our visit to Rome so enjoyable.
Travelling as two couples we very much enjoyed our stay at Dieci Apartment in the heart of trendy Trastevere known for its great restaurants and entertainment and within walking distance of all the famous tourist sites of Rome. Amrita, Susan and others were very helpful with all pre-arrival needs, pick-up at the airport and check-in and with anything else we needed during our stay and for our departure. Dieci and Trastevere are the place to stay in Rome.
This beautiful apartment is bright, airy and spacious. Big windows let in light and air from the front and back of the property on both levels; in the back the windows look into a pretty restaurant courtyard; the front windows look over a lovely street in Trastevere. This apartment is clean, comfortable, and very well-equipped, with two really nice bathrooms, a well-organized kitchen, comfy beds, lots of lamps, and a fireplace. It would be pleasant anywhere, but its location in Trastevere makes it just about perfect. Although the street is pretty busy in the evenings and there are restaurants and bars surrounding the property, the noise isn't party noise--just the sounds of people talking and dining--and it can be rendered pretty benign by simply turning on the air conditioning. The fact that you can get so many places so easily and can find fabulous dining only metres away from the property make it an ideal place to stay. Susan, Amrita, and Alex were incredibly helpful at every point--from the first email we sent to their accommodating us for an extra day when our flight back was cancelled. This is a great property in an amazing part of Rome; it is managed with tremendous care and professionalism. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat and have already begun to recommend this property--and this rental company--to everyone we know!
My wife and I, along with our teen-aged daughter and her friend, stayed here for 10 nights. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well located. The street has many shops and restaurants within steps of the house. There was a constant buzz of activity on the street from afternoon until late into the night. Fun, but a bit noisy at night. The neighborhood was really nice and all of the interesting sites were within walking distance from the apartment. We had a great time!
