About the property

Bedrooms 2, Bathrooms 2, Sleeps 5

This up-scale second-floor apartment is located in the best part of Trastevere, near the Piazza Trilusso, one of Rome's most charming neighbourhoods.

It has been newly renovated with sleek modern lines, fully equipped kitchen and luxurious modern bathrooms. The living room offers a fireplace for cozy evenings, and a small terrace off the separate dining room is perfect for outdoor meals in Spring, Summer, and Fall. The apartment is on two floors, with a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, and another double bed, plus a single bed, and second bathroom, on the second floor.

Stroll narrow, cobbled streets lined by medieval houses, bars and restaurants. Outdoor markets and both charming and funky shops line the street too. At night both Romans and foreigners flock to its many pubs and restaurants. The area is also home to John Cabot University and the American Academy in Rome. You will be walking to St. Peters, the Botanical Gardens, Castle San Angelo, and the most beautiful Medieval Church, Santa Maria in Trastevere. Just a short stroll across the River Tiber (Tevere) is the historic centre, heart of ancient Rome, the Campo dei Fiori, Rome's most famous outdoor market, elegant Via Giulia, Piazza Navonna, and all the sites you will want to visit. The unique character of this ancient neighbourhood has attracted artists, expats, and famous Romans.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Our stay was wonderful! All of the communication during the planning stages was great. Help amazing, the airport transfer was spot on. Everything in the apartment was as promised. Having a kitchen and a washer/dryer made our stay so much better than a hotel. Would recommend - would stay here again! Thank you for all the help.

Perfectly situated and appointed.

  • 5 of 5

Wonderfully appointed and situated apartment in the Trastevere area of Rome. It was the perfect starting point to explore all the wonders of this fabulous city. Cafe's, restaurants and boutique shops abound in this area. The nicely stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, large bathrooms, cozy living and dining area made this apartment the perfect place to call home after touring all day.

The accommodations on this trip were used by three adults comfortably but it can easily accommodate 4 possibly 5.

Commendable Rentals (I have used them multiple times) can be highly recommended for all of your stays in many places throughout the world. Their attention to detail and impeccable service is unmatched.

Spacious apartment in a great neighborhood of Rome

  • 5 of 5

We very much loved the apartment. It had everything we could possibly need (including a bottle of wine). We love this location and all that it offers. We love all the activity at night and being able to come rest in this beautiful apartment when needed. We would definitely stay here again. After we left the apartment for our next destination, we realized that we had left a dress in the closet. I contacted the owner, Alessandro, who was so nice to expedite the dress by overnight mail to our next location. I offered to pay the mailing fee, but he would have nothing to do with it. Grazie Alessandro!

A charming & comfortable home base in Rome

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved our stay in this comfortable Trastevere apartment. The owner, Alessandro, was charming and gracious and went out of his way to help us out when we needed it. The setting is very lively at night, but we expected as much! We are delighted that we chose this apartment for our Rome sojourn.

Great location, wonderful staff through Commendable Rentals

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is exactly what we were looking for. It's location is great for walking around Rome and ending each day with a great dinner at a nearby place in Trastevere.

We had 4 people share this apartment for 4 nights.

Commendable Rentals arranged for a driver to pick my husband and I up from the airport. It was a great option. Our friends arrived the next night very late. They took a taxi, but the driver didn't know exactly how to get to the apartment. The street outside the apartment is very busy with people at night. Their taxi driver had to park and walk with them to the apartment. Because of this, I would recommend arriving during the day if possible.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. There is a small kitchen with dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. There is also a washing machine and detergent, which we used. The air conditioners in each room were a huge benefit since we were there late June when it was extremely hot.

The staff from Commendable Rentals who manages this apartment were so helpful. They were extremely helpful in planning our trip ahead of time. They let us remove a night from our stay after we booked and were accommodating when we requested an early check-in. Great customer service!

If you are looking for something fun to do in the area, I would highly recommend the Eating Italy food tour of Trastevere! It was all within walking distance of the apartment and was so much fun!

Beautiful clean apartment just too noisy late into the night.

  • 2 of 5

Wouldn't recommend the street location. Loud party atmosphere til 2 a.m. Difficult to sleep. The day time...we couldn't be happier! Unfortunate as the apartment is beautiful and the owner is 5 stars in help and assistance.

Owner's Response: I am glad that you liked so many things about the apartment, its design, its cleanliness, and all the things that we organized for you. Though may have found the neighborhood noisy on certain nights , most love the activity of its quaint yet active streets, which can be noisy some nights and quiet on others. It's possible block out most noise , by closing the double-glazed windows, and turning on the Air-conditioning which is all the rooms. Any noise that you would have heard would not have been traffic , but merely Romans talking in the streets, as the street is closed to traffic An important thing to note, is that Romans an talk loudly, and you can find that on one night or another, in any neighborhood in summer in this vibrant city where the weather is so beautiful that people enjoy being outside.

Owner's Response: So glad that you enjoyed it . It is in a lively night area but closing the double -glazed windows and turning on the A/C solves it for sleeping. But Rome and Romans are noisy, and not sure that it's noisier than elsewhere in this amazing city. It's been a beautiful spring.
