About Ken and Linda Roth
Ken and Linda are high school sweethearts who grew up in Indiana, attended Purdue University, moved to Tampa after graduation, and raised their two girls, all while running a commercial landscape company. They were blessed to find Blue Ridge and purchase their first cabin in 2011. While constructing an addition onto their cabin, they developed a wonderful relationship with a creative and quality builder, Junior Deal. After Ken and Linda learned of Junior’s dream of building a treehouse, they decided to make Junior's dream come true and built their first treehouse, Canopy Blue, which was completed in 2016. Their experience was so fantastic with Junior and his partner, Matthew "Moose”, they built another treehouse, Inn The Ravine, which was completed in 2018. Junior and Moose, now owners of Blue Ridge Treehouse Builders, only build quality and creative spaces. Ken and Linda’s goal is to provide amazing getaways with lasting memories.

Overall we had a great time, would definitely recommend this spot. Only issue we had is that the driveway had a steep hole and we were unable to get past it in our Honda element, we simply parked a little further down.
Wonderful treehouse getaway!
We came up to the blueridge mountains for quick visit and loved staying in the Canopy Blue treehouse! The home was very clean and close to the downtown Blueridge area which made it super convenient to get around. All in all we had a great experience and would love to come back.
We loved our stay at Canopy Blue! We brought our kids here (girls 7 and 11) for a few days and everything was perfect! The gorgeous views and mountain air were just what we needed....the first day we got settled and hung out, played games, the kids explored, went in the hot tub, cooked s’mores. Day 2....horse back riding at Appliacian Trails and a Drive In Movie at the Swan, not far from the treehouse. Day 3....hiking and waterfalls and explored the little town of Blue Ridge. Dinner at Hansen’s Grill in town and kids filled buckets of candy at Hucks General Store. Day 4....white water rafting that was safe for the kids after a quick visit to the Ocoee Whitewater Center, home of the ‘96 Olympic rafting course! Oh and squeezed in a quick trip to stand on the Georgia/Tennessee line! The kids thought that was super cool! One foot in GA and one in TN! The treehouse was within 15-45 minutes to all these amazing spots! We will definitely be back! Thank you!
Tree house with beautiful views
We loved our stay at Canopy Blue. It was even better than the pictures showed, which is unusual. Lots of thought and love went into building this. We can't wait to return again.
Beautiful property and tree house.
We enjoyed the beautiful tree house with modern touches. The hot tub was a great way to enjoy the forest area and nature. We found a few great restaurants nearby and enjoyed meeting locals. We highly recommend this experience!
Beautiful little getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay at the canopy blue treehouse! The attention to detail that Ken & Linda put into the treehouse made it such a wonderful experience! Sitting on the back porch as the sun was starting to set and looking out at the beautiful mountain skyline couldn’t have been more relaxing! We can’t wait to visit again!
Thanks for your great review, Morgan! We can't wait for you to visit again, too!
Blue Ridge is known for it's rustic charm and adventure activities. The treehouse is located just 10 minutes from town, but sits against national forest. The drive is short, but please note that the last 1/4 mile is a dirt/gravel road that can get quite rutty at times. Low profile vehicles not recommended. Four wheel drive is not necessary but certainly helpful.
