Cosy, clean and comforting - a lovely little cottage
This cottage was exactly what we wanted! We had a fab time staying here and will be back - thank you.
Easy check in, check out and the cottage had everything you needed (firewood, towels etc).
Great local walks
We loved everything about this cottage. The location was perfect, local walks from the door, an hour from Malham Cove which is well worth a visit and a short drive to the Lake District. The cottage itself was perfect for two and had everything you could need, even some biscuits on arrival. We managed to park outside the cottage every day but there is a car park just down the road which costs £10 for the week. A good selection of Dvds and local information leaflets. We had a great week.
Charming cottage in covenient location
Lovely comfortable cottage close to centre of Sedbergh. It's compact but ideal for a couple, very cosy and warm with a wood burning stove great for the chilly evenings we had at the end of Sep. Conveniently located with 3 pubs, attractive cafes and other places to eat within walking distance. There's a nice independent grocery store in Sedbergh for everyday food needs and a decent sized Spar on the outskirts of the town if you need additional supplies. The sandwich shop is excellent for packed lunches. Sedbergh has a number of interesting bookshops and a food market of Wed. The cottage is attractively located overlooking Sedbergh School. and its playing fields. There are riverside walks nearby and great walks into the Howgills from the doorstep. Don't miss a visit to the Temperance Inn on the east side of the Howgills near Cautley Spout - great place. The cottage is also conveniently located for accessing the Yorkshire Dales and east side of Lake District for access to more great walking e.g. Three Peaks, Ingleton, Malham, Dentdale, Ribblesdale, etc
Lovely cottage. Great base for the lake district. Owners Lynne and John kept us well informed.
Just the right size for both of us.
Cottage had everything - and more! We enjoyed having a woodburning stove since we do not have a fire at home.
Thanks for the biscuits.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. We always enjoy the woodburner when it's cold weather it makes the cottage so cosy.
