This property was BEAUTIFUL!!! So much so that some of our photos look like they were photoshopped!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time here. With 2 kids we were a little worried that our idea of a relaxing "home base" and theirs would be drastically different but they had so much fun playing zoo & ranch that I think they would have preferred to stay at the cabin instead of dragging them to all the sights! Cabin was clean with more than enough room for our family of 4, easy to get to & best of all QUIET after busy days of sightseeing. Loved it and would highly recommend it for all types of travelers.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words. We are very proud of Trappers Cabin and our ranch on which it sits, we pride ourselves in giving travelers more than a place to stay but an experience beyond what a typical hotel would offer. Pat & Sandie

Relaxation at it's best!

  • 5 of 5

Cozy cabin for 2-4 people! We thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the cabin was very comfortable. Great way to disconnect! We had bonfires every morning and night, traveled the Black Hills and found places we'd never explored before! The Black Hills is our little piece of heaven! Thank you for sharing Trappers Cabin with us! Todd and Kay

Beautiful Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Great location, very close to Wind Cave and centrally located to other fabulous spots including Hollingsworth Horses (only place that allows unguided horse back riding, highly recommend!) Chops & Hops was our favorite restaurant, excellent prime rib.

Not as remote as we were hoping ( my husband was picturing a cabin out in the middle of no where) but it was fairly private and no one bothered us. The cabin was wonderful and very clean! Bed was comfy and had all the amenities of home. Our only annoyance were the wasps on the deck and some flies in the cabin but the owners left some Raid to take care of both. Would highly recommend!

Unique, peaceful, mountain views

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was great, very relaxing and out of the 'tourist' areas. The owners Pat and Sandie went out of their way after a freak hail storm to help us get supplies to clean out our vehicle. We would definitely recommend this cabin for anybody looking for a getaway in the black Hills area! Thank you! We will be back for sure!

Truly Wonderful Western Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed staying at Sandie and Pat's cabin, it has everything a family needs, close to all the monuments and parks, and yes, as described, the buffalo are just minutes away. The furnishings and art are truly amazing, we spent time just going thru the cabin's Western and Indian artifacts, they have done a truly wonderful job in decorating the cabin. Very comfortable relaxing indoors or out. Wonderful wide open land to enjoy viewing the horses. I very much hope we can return, some day soon, Thank you.
