Interaction with guests
As much as they want to... I use to send more information after booking that I have made, as well as a manual with useful information...
This street is the street with most modernist buildings per square metres in the entire city!!!
If you want to know how the Bourgeoisie in Barcelona lived, but with all comfort a modern person wants (air con, wifi, Nespresso machine, dryer, etc.), and at the same time in one of the best quarters in Barcelona (which is Gracia, for sure my favorite..)... then this is your place... not even Born can beat the charm of Gracia (much less touristy) and you won´t find more designer studios and alternative designer shops than in that area... also loved by students and actually people of all ages... one of the most legendary restaurants of Barcelona, El Butafumeiro, is less then 5 min walk away.. this flat will help you to keep Barcelona in your mind as magical and never forget your stay..... for said: Gracia area is breathtaking.. and only 10 minutes walking away from Diagonal and the Gaudi house (La Pedrera). The street is the street with the highest density of modernist buildings in the ENTIRE city (you will see this..); another Gaudi House (actually the first one Gaudi built, is right arround the corner (Casa Vincens, in calle de les Carolines 24).. check it out.. the best square of the city are right there... Plaza de la Vila de Gracia, Plaza del Sol, Plaze de la Revolución, plaza de la Virreina, and the finest street of Barcelona, Calle Verdi....)... Best you can do to start your Barcelona experience in Gracia, stepping into the quarter by entering the pedestrian zone via the Street / Calle Asturies (the street just before coming to the Metro station Fontana, just 50 meters away), all the way to the best street in Gracia, Calle Verdi.. and go down to the end (pass by great restaurants like "La Trini" or "D.O."... If you want to live the peaceful charm of this city, in an insider and artist quarter, and the same time close to the City Centre around Paseo de Gracia.. then this is the place for you..... you will love it, guaranteed...
Public bus line is right there, as it the Fontana Metro station (at the same block!); very centric... and walking down to Diagonal is max 10 min walking...
Other things to note
Having a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the cosy gallery overviewing the garden (which makes you forget that you are in the middle of a big city), is what will make you feel like a king!
Important note: Because I have a touristic licence for my apartment, I require that all my guests after they confirm a booking with me, send me a scan of their passport. This is because according to the law in Catalunya, we as hosts are obliged to forward this information to the National State Police (Mossos D'Escuadra). Please note that all legal and registered touristic establishments such as hotels, hostels, bed & breakfast, etc, have to do the same as well. Thank you for your understanding.
I would like to ask you to respect to my flat as if it was your own home. Let me know your arrival time as soon as you can, so I can arrange for a smooth check-in. Normally, you can CHECK-IN from 17.00 pm, but if you arrive earlier, we will surely find a solution, depending on availability of the cleaning women and other groups, at least for leaving your luggage before that but after 11.00 (should not be a problem).
The same is true for late CHECK-OUT: I will try to adapt to your needs as much as I can. Please respect the neighbors and do not make noise after 21.00 o'clock; always close the elevator door when using it and please switch off the lights and air conditioning when leaving. Please no pets and no smoking in the house! This will have as consequence a €250 fine. Please no drugs or other on the premises.
The keys will be handed over at the apartment in order to make it easier for you. Please note that I will have a person to help with LATE CHECK-INS (after 22.00 / 8pm). Here an additional fee of 20 euros is charged between 20h and 22h, between 22h and 24h a fee of 30 euros, and 50 euros after 24h.
Feel at home, but please keep in mind that there are neighbors around who deserve some rest. To secure a peaceful living environment, please keep the volume at a tolerable level, especially between 21pm and 8am. So if your night does not end at that time, I would like to ask you to turn down the music or leave the flat and set off for a night out in the city. Should you get into trouble with the neighbors or the police because of noise nuisance, I will find myself forced to retain the entire safety deposit, plus you would be 100% responsible of any additional expenses that the inconvenience might cause, such as physical or non-material damages.
Remember also to leave all the keys on the table at the entrance and close the door after you when checking out. Check before leaving that all air conditioners (ACs), lights and television, etc are turned off and please take your garbage with you and throw them in the grey bins you will find outside on the street.
Enjoy your stay in this nice apartment, and in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I am sure you will love your stay. Thanks! :)
