About clara lobo
Currently I live about one minute from the house with my daughter, who runs a Rural Health Clinic on Johns Island. Her clinic number is 843-559-1938. in case you need it. My son-in-law is a licensed contractor and attends to the upkeep of the house . I have four grandchildren. Since I have lived with them since birth, the house has been vacant . Our friend needed space to hang her oil paintings and in order for them to have visibility, we decided to turn the house into a VRBO . This happened about March 15th. 2016.
clara lobo purchased this House in 2008
Why clara lobo chose Johns Island
Water sports like swimming and sailing. It is really deep water. For fishing it is best, to try it from mid-June to around mid- December.
What makes this House unique
This is the very last house with a dock before the Esau Jenkins bridge that leads to Wadmalaw. So the channel narrows towards the bridge and carries loads of fish with it. Fishing starts around mid June and lasts till about mid November. A cast net at very low tide is probably the quickest way to catch fish. The dock and floater facing the bridge is one of the very best places to fish. Shrimp, crab and fish abound in this particular area. That accounts for the numerous waterbirds that are seen on the photograph. Dolphins swim to Wadmalaw Sound quite frequently and one photograph shows our dog waiting to bark at them as they swim closer. SPECIAL PRICING DURING WINTER MONTHS. Sept. 1- Feb28. Working trip to Johns Island
Very convenient to all the places we visited. Nice views of the water.
Magical Low Country Cottage
This wide open cottage on a tidal creek feels like it's a million miles away from everything, but it's actually convenient to everything the Charleston area has to offer. I never wanted to leave, and only did so for food and visits to photograph the iconic Angel Oak (just minutes down the road).. The crabbing was wonderful, and I saw dolphins every day. I was mesmerized just watching the life cycle of the marsh as the tide came in and went out - and all of the water birds, including a bald eagle.
The owner was extremely responsive and helpful, we could not ask for better. I hope this was the first visit of many to come.
Nice place on the water
Very nice place overall. Fun to have a cocktail on the dock.
This is the first time we have ever used VRBO. Our crew of 4 timber framers recently went to Charleston SC to erect a timber frame and needed a place close to the job site to stay. This was one of the closest sites we could find. The price was very reasonable and the house was very nice and worked good for the week we needed it. One of the photos did show a room with two beds, but upon arrival we noticed there was only one per room. We were able to make it work, but should have read the details a little more carefully. Our crew would highly recommend this place!
Very good deep water dock for fishing and crabbing .
Very nice owner, flexible checking in is great.
Amazing views and comfortable vacation home!
What a wonderful experience staying here. The home has all the comforts of your personal home. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The outdoor dock was by far our favorite for early morning coffee and evening wine. And we got to see a dolphin! Definitely would recommend this rental if coming to Charleston!
