Situated in a central location in the popular area of Swinley, the apartment is modern and spacious. It consist of a lounge/kitchen-diner, bedroom and shower room, with secure car parking (free) on-site. It is equipped with freeview TV and WiFi. The specified check in and out times are to permit cleaning after each stay, if you need earlier access than 3pm please contact us to make arrangements.
The apartment is on the second floor and is accessed via communal hall and stairs (there is no lift in the property). The bedroom has a double bed and ample storage for clothes and other items with hangers provided. The kitchen is fitted with electric ceramic hob & oven, sink, fridge/freezer, microwave and washer/dryer. The bathroom, with towels provided, has a shower cubicle, washbasin and toilet. Other items provided are Freeview Tv, WiFi, smoke detector, bed linen, iron & board, heating, crockery/cutlery and free car parking.
To facilitate access to the apartment you will be provided in advance with three security codes: one for the car park, one for entry to the main door and another for the apartment door. This keyless entry enables you to have immediate access on your arrival and allow you to settle in straight away (the number to the apartment is changed after each stay).
You are able to access the accommodation independently and you will be provided with contact numbers for you to request any advice or assistance you may need.
Cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops are in the immediate vicinity and the main shopping centre is close by. Haigh Hall Country Park, Mesnes (pronounced "mains") Park, Wigan town centre, trains stations, bus station, Wigan & Leigh College and Wigan Infirmary are all within a 5 to 15 minute walk. Leisure facilities close by include Empire Cinema, ten-pin bowling, Haigh golf course, swimming at Wigan Life Centre, Wigan cricket club, Wigan Athletic FC and Wigan Warriors RLFC. Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Southport and Warrington are within commuting distance (either by car or rail) with direct trains to Manchester Airport. The lake district, peak district and Chester are accessible in around 1 hour.
Wigan is a transportation hub with many connections via road and rail. It sits on the connection between the two main railway networks thus making many areas of the country easily accessible by rail - for example, Birmingham in 1 hour and London in 2 hours. It is also sat close to the the motorway network in particular the M6 and M62 which allows travel north & south and east & west.
