You will forgive all the little issues with this apartment for that view!
This is a beautifully positioned let, we come to Aldeburgh every year and this has been the best view ever. This is a spacious apartment with lots of room for extended family. I would say particularly good for families with grown up children. The parking space is certainly a bonus.
However, the downstairs bedrooms are a bit dark and cold, it was difficult to warm them up without the upstairs kitchen and lounge becoming overheated. Some free standing heating would be useful, as would instructions for the central heating. There is a set of instructions in the kitchen drawer, but not one for the oven, the oven specifically says ‘refer to instruction manual’ for grill use, there is no manual. There is no grill rack in the grill pan. The frying pans were in a disgusting state, a replacement was quickly provided by Suffolk Secrets when this was brought to their attention. The none stick saucepans all need replacing as the surfaces are badly worn and scratched. The kitchen lacks a set of weighing scales and a measuring jug. Apart from that the kitchen has plenty of baking dishes etc, lots of plates and bowls and glasses, but it’s hardly possible to find 4 of anything that matches. The kitchen and bathrooms are dated and the cupboards worn. The overhead lighting is institutional in its unrelenting brightness. There was no ‘welcome pack’ telling you about recycling and rubbish disposal, local amenities, such as emergency numbers, doctor, dentist, taxi firms etc.
The WiFi is good.
But, and this is a big but, you can forgive it all for that view!
