About the location:
Stornoway 20 miles
The area known as Pairc, South Lochs is made up of a number of small villages and is situated in the south east area of Lewis. Habost is one of the oldest settlements. Visitors to this remote and peaceful Island will enjoy its spectacular scenery, beautiful beaches as well as our many historic sights such as the Callanais Standing Stones reputed to be older than Stonehenge and a well preserved Pictish broch and the Blackhouse village at Garenin. Stornoway is the main shopping town and Lews Castle museum is well worth a visit to view the world famous Lewis Chessmen. The Island is a great place to spot wildlife such as both of Britain's largest raptors, the sea and golden eagle, seals, deer, whales, otter and dolphins amongst many others.

Beautiful and comfortable holiday home
A beautiful and comfortable bungalow with everything you may need. A lovely welcome package. Wonderful views over the loch and hills, great place to explore Harris and Lewis from.
A lovely spacious bungalow with beautiful views and everything you need for a relaxing break x
Thank you Anne and family for a wonderful stay. The welcome pack was great and it was a lovely surprise to find you had gone to the extra trouble of providing us with some gluten free bread for our son. The views and peaceful surroundings were fabulous and just what we wanted after our roadtrip. The bungalow was lovely and clean and so well equipped with everything we could possibly need including a pair of binoculars to look at the wildlife on the loch. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable and it was very hard to leave to come home! X In terms of location Tabost/Habost is an easy journey to either of the ferry ports and fairly central for the roads to the main highlights on Lewis and Harris x We definitely recommend it and are planning to return!
