Description of the apartment
It is a large and bright apartment recently restored, apart from the period floors of lucchese forge. It consists of: an entrance hall, a spacious living room with TV area and a dining area with 10 seats, a kitchen and complete with appliances, 2 double bedrooms, one of which is upstairs, both with private bathroom, 1 large bedroom with 3 single beds, a 3rd bathroom with waterfall shower with chromotherapy and radio, a laundry with sink and washing machine, a closet.
Each room has air conditioning, except the kitchen.
Access to the Wi-Fi network is available throughout the apartment.
The apartment is located on the second floor of an ancient and noble palace without elevator, located in the main square of the city: Piazza Napoleone. In this square each year, in July, Lucca Summer Festival takes place where international stars perform, so because the apartment is in the interior of the Summer Festival, it is very important to provide, at the time of booking, the names of all guests so that they can apply for free permits in time to get them access to the square during concerts, as residents do.
The Napoleone Apartment is located right in the historical center of Lucca, a true open-air museum to visit with churches, squares, palaces, towers, monuments, parks such as those of the urban walls that surround the city. There are many shops and various businesses such as restaurants, taverns, pizzerias, ice-cream parlors, supermarkets, pubs, cinemas, markets (antiques and handicrafts 3rd and 4th Saturday / Sunday every month). Every year there are events known all over the world such as the Comix in the first days of November and in July the Lucca Summer Festival in Piazza Napoleone where international stars perform, and throughout the year at the Giglio Theater or in some churches you can attend various shows or concerts of classical music and lyric works especially by Giacomo Puccini. The whole city is pleasantly on foot or by bicycle. From Lucca you can easily reach the other cities of Tuscany, the sea of Versilia and the Elba, the mountains of Garfagnana and of Abetone.
How to move
The historic center of Lucca is predominantly ZTL, ie restricted traffic area, so you can reach the apartment only by taxi (Radiotaxi Lucca 05831745) or on foot. If you arrive with the car you must leave it in the parking lots outside the urban walls and you can consult the site to choose what you prefer. The car parks, the railway station at Piazzale Bettino Ricasoli and the bus station at Giuseppe Verdi square are about a 10 minute walk away from the apartment.
Things to consider
Guests must follow the rules of the house, provide for the daily disposal of waste, respect the furniture and period furniture of the apartment and take care to return it as clean and tidy as they have been given.
Information on how to access the apartment
The apartment is located on the second floor of the building. There are 4 stair climbing ramps and an internal gate to be traversed between the first and the second floor. The internal gate opens with the keys that will be provided at check-in, but also via a button located on the second floor landing wall next to the door of the apartment.
Information about the electrical system
The apartment has 4.5 KW of electrical power.
Every room, except the kitchen, has air conditioning.
When the air conditioners are switched on, all the windows must be kept closed, otherwise the electrical absorption will always be up to 3 KW and leaving only 1.5 KW for all other home appliances and lights.
In each room there are more than 5 light bulbs, almost all energy-saving. It is imperative not to keep all the lights in the home lit while air conditioners and some other household appliances are in operation, otherwise the general counter will jump.
You must insert the hair dryer into large electrical outlets.
The electrical cabinet of the various rooms of the house is in the kitchen near the fridge and the counter is in loggia on the ground floor with Napoleone Apartment above a wooden door.

In the historical center of Lucca there is the separate collection of the waste to the door wanted by the Commune. Inside the apartment you will find the weekly table with the rules of disposal and the daily indication of the type of garbage collected. It is advisable to bring garbage bags to the streets daily, according to the table, and leave them at the foot of the tree in front of the palace door.

The apartment has been furnished with original antique furniture, in particular there are 4 doors dating back to 1700. Guests are therefore required to pay particular attention to these furnishings.
On day of departure you will check out yourself. You will have to make sure that you have closed all the shutters and windows and left off the air conditioners, the appliances, the heating, the gas, and the lights of the house before leaving home. Please leave the keys to the apartment on the entry console by 10:00 am to allow the cleaning service to prepare the apartment for subsequent guests.
- The apartment is suitable for infants (up to 2 years) and children (2 to 12 years old) who will be included in the booking count and will pay as adults.
- Pets are not allowed.
