My spacious, clean and comfortable 1st floor 1 Bedroom apartment is located on Gillygate, a historic street in the heart of central York, it's a few minute walk to the main shopping areas and local attractions, making it easy to return for a break or a rest before heading back out again.

Once inside the apartment there is a central hallway with plenty of coat hooks to hang jackets and coats.

The living room is large and spacious with tall ceilings, large windows, and is equipped with a modern Sony Led Freeview TV, Free unlimited WIFI access, there's modern furniture including a dining table, sofa, and coffee table.

The bathroom has recently been fitted in summer 2017 and has a Mira Power Shower with lots of hot water pressure, there's a bath and a mirror to make your stay comfortable, the bathroom will be kept well stocked with toilet paper and some free toiletries for your stay :)

The bedroom has a double bed and a large chest of drawers for clothes storage, there are 2 bedside cabinets with drawers and bedside lamps to make your stay comfortable, there is a full length Mirror and a place to hang some clothes.

The Kitchen is equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, washing machine, and all the utensils, cutlery, glasses, cups, pans, plates etc you'll likely need during your visit.

The Apartment is equipped with other amenities including an iron and ironing board, clothes airer, portable fans, etc etc

Excellent location - superb apartment

We stayed at the apartment recently for a weekend break. The apartment was immaculate, and so clean. It had a lovely modern feel with lots of detail. Paul, the owner, met us at the apartment and showed us round and explained everything to us. He was very helpful and gave us information about the apartment together with the area. The apartment has a parking space which is a rare find in a city centre.

The location of the apartment was first class - 2 minutes from York Minster - no need to get the car out all weekend saving us a lot of hassle. It was also nice to be able to come back to the apartment mid way through the day to have a brief rest and refuel!

A lovely apartment with parking and easy walking distance to all amenities

It was our first visit to York (and it will not be our last). We found Paul's apartment to be in a very convenient spot in Gillygate with a very handy parking space! It was mid December and we stayed for a long weekend. It was very cold, but the flat was beautifully warm. The kitchen was fully equipped with a table and chairs in the lounge if eating in. We even had a fully decorated Christmas tree 🎄? which made it very cosy and festive. Paul was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was enough storage and coat hooks for our needs. The bathroom was lovely and clean with plenty of towels and spares if needed. The water was plentiful and hot. The lounge was modern and comfortable to return to after a long day walking and sightseeing. York had a wonderful festive market and we sampled many hot drinks, cakes and lunches around the city. We shall certainly return to York and would very happily stay in this apartment again. Pam and Jon - Newbury Berkshire

Extremely well-presented and convenient central York apartment.

Paul (the owner) welcomed us warmly, showed us around the apartment including the milk and wine to get us going then explained how to find the Minster and other facilities in the area. He made it clear that we could call him at any time if we had a problem or question - as good as his word, a requested new teapot appeared very shortly after we spoke. The position of the unit is superb for exploring York and although on one of the busier old streets we were completely undisturbed by any noises and in fact it was fun to watch the goings-on outside. It was warm, comfortable and well looked after with a modern and design-conscious feel. The allocated off-road parking was very near the entrance and we left the car there while we explored on foot (unsurprisingly, traffic can be busy at busy times). We made use of the small Sainsbury's store that was only about 2 minutes walk away.

With all the historical buildings and places of interest within walking distance of us it was easy to adventure out and return for a break before going out again - there is so much to see it can otherwise be a bit wearing! I took advantage of the discounted pass for the art gallery and museums as well as finding the gardens and river areas interesting; my favourite building is probably the Merchant Adventurers' Hall but there is just so much....

There is a big choice of places to eat and drink but we had a very pleasant 'real' pizza conveniently across the road at Bistro Guy. Cooking in the well-equipped unit would probably have been a pleasant and easy experience but we needed to get out for the full York flavour!

I spoke to Paul as we packed and left, confirming it was extremely nice meeting and dealing with him and that we had enjoyed a smashing few days before exploring rural Yorkshire.
