Simply put the mountain is the 'Best in the West'!
All of our units are located in The Village at Squaw Valley. All of our units are ski-in ski-out.
Nice place, good furniture, all you need for a basic kitchen.
Excellent location! The unit was clean and perfect for our stay. The manager was extremely responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
Upon arrival we found trash on the bedroom floor, coffee left in the coffee maker, stained sheets and pillow cases, wi-fi not working at all, only 2 flat sheets and an older comforter on the bed, no extra blankets or bedding of any kind, no control of the temperature of the heater, no extra garbage bags, and zero help from both the owner and his cleaning service. We had to dig around in the closet to find a wadded up mattress pad for the bed just to keep the sheets from slipping off, and then we had to make the bed ourselves. The wi-fi was completely unreliable. It is not ski-in/ski-out as advertised. To top it all, there was no mention of snow plows operating directly outside the unit from 1-4:30am, so sleep was very difficult to come by during our stay. If it snows, good luck sleeping.
The owner needs to step up and upgrade the bedding, fix the heater and wi-fi, find reliable cleaners before charging guests fees, and practice full disclosure on what guests should expect. Privately owned units like this are not serviced by building operations, so it's up to the owner to take care of the guests. The owners failed us during our stay.
Great location - right in the heart of the Village. Beautiful views of the gondola and the large balcony was great!
Had some trouble checking in as Squaw Village (and myself) had not received the reservation info that was supposed to be sent seven days prior to arrival. I had the payment info available stating that I had paid for/rented the condo. The manager at Squaw Village was very accommodating and checked us in after some discussion.
Biggest issue with the condo was that the refrigerator froze the majority of the food we had purchased: milk, eggs, fruit, salad - all frozen. Although the temp was not set on the "coldest" setting, we did turn the temp. up a bit to see if things would thaw out. Most did, but some were inedible after they had frozen.
Would recommend for the location and great balcony. Would also recommend a new refrigerator or have somebody provide maintenance so future guests do now lose food items.
Condo was clean and spacious for a 1 bedroom. Kitchen was perfect for preparing meals and dining area was just the right size. Views of the village and great location very close to trams and lifts, central to all village has to offer! William was great to deal with and answered all of our questions. We had a great time and plan to stay again!
you cannot beat a weekend in squaw! and staying at the village makes it that much better. never need to get in the car -- which is safe and warm in the underground parking structure -- lifts, restaurants and anything else you might need at your doorstep. or cook for yourself and make it a little more affordable!
manager was super responsive and accommodating [arranged early checkin at the last minute--thank you!] and property was well maintained. highly recommend!
