This two storey, three bedroom apartment just oozes class in every square meter. The property is enhanced with the highest quality furniture and fittings but has retained so many original features of the former Fort Augustus Abbey, highlighting the splendid architecture throughout. On entering the apartment your first impression is luxury and elegance. The welcoming hallway leads to the main lounge area and the downstairs bedroom has two single beds and bathroom with a bath and shower. The lounge area is open plan and very spacious, the vaulted ceilings and two large windows complement the spacious look. The kitchen is stylish and well-equipped with its granite worktops and central island and is fully fitted. The dining area is open plan and conveniently adjacent to the kitchen.

Via a staircase from the entrance hall the upstairs of the apartment consists of a king-size bedroom with an en-suite and a twin bedroom. There is also a peaceful and tranquil sitting room, all decorated to the highest of standards. The sitting room has a double sofa bed to enable the sleeping of up to 8 guests. As can be seen from the photographs 5 Old School is a fantastic and luxurious property in the beautiful Highland Club in Scotland.

Very nice family apartment, your home away from home

We were really impressed with the apartment and withthe customer services! We arrived with the sleeper train and we have asked if we could check in earlier than 4 pm.They've replied immediately to our enquiry saying that the apartment will be ready for us in the morning. We felt very welcome!

The apartment is very tastefully made up, with great attention to details. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, cannot recommend enough!

It's very conveniently located, 2 min walk to the Loch Ness cruise departure point, 5 min walk to the village centre, 30 min drive to Fort William, 45 min drive to Inverness, 2 hrs drive to Portree (Isle of Skye) so very good location! We'll definitely be staying again! Thank you.

In The Abbey there is a wonderful indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, restaurant, adventure playground, gymnasium, beautiful lounge with snooker and free wi-fi (also available in this apartment), table tennis, giant chess, croquet and barbeques. Beauty treatments are available at The Abbey.

Wonderful setting on the southern shore of Loch Ness with the use of all the facilities at The Abbey including; a stunning indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room* tennis, table tennis, snooker, free wi-fi in the club lounge and in the apartment, croquet, adventure playground, football goals, on site restaurant.

Other activities are available including archery, canoeing, white water rafting etc. please ask for details.

The beautiful Abbey (Highland Club) is right on the shore of Loch Ness, you can fish from the grounds (but don't catch a monster!). There are many beautiful drives and walks, with many sight seeing opportunities including Urquart Castle, Eileen Donan Castle, a trip to the Isle of Skye, distilleries to name but a few. The Abbey is just a 2 minute walk from the very pretty village of Fort Augustus with its shops and restaurants.

Boats are moored just outside The Abbey grounds to take you on to Loch Ness.

Fort Augustus sits on the Great Glen Way, a lovely walk (or ride) alongside the Caledonian Canal.
