The right choice
Confortable apartment and in the heart of Rome, next to Piazza Navona.
The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room is bright and spacious and the beds are comfortable. The right choice to enjoy Rome, of course!
Good location, marred by terrible experience with property management company
When we first arrived to this cute little apartment, all seemed well. It's closely situated to Piazza Navona, so basically everything in Rome is within walking distance, even for our family with two kids.
We noticed some inconveniences that are not exactly as advertised:
* The washing machine in the kitchen is moldy and broken, so don't consider it usable. We ended up paying a laundry business down the street to take care of a few loads instead. Literally black/green mold inside, and the handle is broken.
* The AC system needs to drain water into a bucket of sorts, but it doesn't shut off automatically when that bucket is full. Our first morning, we woke up to quite a bit of water on the living room floor that we had to clean up. After that, we had to set an alarm to empty the bucket in the middle of the night each night.
If it was just those issues, I would have rated this place a 4/5. However, two days into our stay, the building's outside door lock was changed, and the property management company had no clue how to provide us a new one. It seemed like all the other neighbors were aware of the change and had the new key, including some American tourists staying in a different part of the building who said they were given two sets of keys to deal with the change.
Initially, the property management company implied that we didn't know how to use the keys, and only a day later admitted that they were indeed changed but they had no communication with ownership about it. We ended up having to buzz many of the Italian neighbors at odd hours to get into the building, which was really awkward, especially late at night.
In the end, the property management company (Weekey Rentals) was not able to get us a key until the end of our trip, and dropped all forms of communication (email, text, and WhatsApp) to try to make the situation right. As nice as the location is, our overall experience was terrible, and I would not recommend that anyone put their trust into this company.
Apartment is as described, in a great location walking distance to all we wanted to see. Air conditioning worked great (it was quite warm while we were in Rome) and apartment is clean. Only issue is that it is tough for two people to sleep on the "double" bed on the mezzanine.
Great apartment in a perfect location
The apartment was just as promised. Marta was at the apartment when we arrived waiting for us and was very kind. The apartment had all amenities which were promised and everything worked perfectly. It is in a great location with many sites within easy walking distance.
We would happily stay here again during our next visit to Rome!
Cute little apartment in a great neighborhood! We were warmly welcomed and everything was very clean. I would certainly recommend this place!
Our stay at this apartment was lovely. It is wonderfully situated, close to buses, restaurants, grocery stores, and walking distance to most of the touristic sites. Our host was kind and very helpful. I would definitely recommend renting this apartment.
This area is the heart of Rome, definitely the most popular and frequented by tourists. Take a stroll to the bustling Piazza Navona, with its famous fountains, street artists and portrait painters; to the Pantheon; to Campo de 'Fiori, where each morning takes place the popular fruit and vegetable market and in the evening it is poured with people having a drink or a chat after dinner.
But it is also the part of Rome with many institutional buildings, like the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, the French Embassy in the beautiful Palazzo Farnese and the embassy of Brasil in Piazza Navona.A large quantity of coffee trendy bars and restaurants with outdoor seating and pizzerias make this a very lively neighborhood .If you are looking for antiques shops take a stroll through the shops of Via Margutta, Via Giulia, Via dei Banchi Vecchi and via dei Coronari while in Via del Pellegrino and Via del Governo Vecchio you can find many vintage shops. From this strategic area, you can easily walk to other extraordinary places such as Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, St. Peter's Basilica, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
