About Alison E
Although I live in Cambridge now and was brought up in England my parents were Scottish and retired to this lovely house in Stirling
Why Alison E chose Stirling
Because it was my parents' house it feels like a home from home although I have done quite a few improvements since they lived there!
What makes this House unique
The location which is second to none. Just below Stirling Castle with magnificent views in the distance yet so close to all the amenities of town.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Beautiful home in stunning location
The house itself is beautiful, but being at the base of Stirling Castle across from the Royal Gardens made it even more special. We had a very comfortable stay for 4 adults, plenty of room and and everything we needed. I would highly recommend this house as a base for anyone planning a trip to the Highlands or for day trips into Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Many Thanks, Rachel, for your kind comments, I am glad you enjoyed the house and its special position.
A Quiet Sanctuary Close to the Heart of Castle and Town
A few friends and I met up in Stirling for a long overdue reunion. This house welcomed us with comfy sitting areas, a well appointed kitchen, beautiful views (yes, it is right across from the King's Knot and below the castle!), tranquility, a lovely trail up to town (10 mins to the castle), and lots of light. This is a quirky and adorable Victorian row house with lots of little nooks and crannies to snuggle into for reading, naps, cups of tea, and long conversations. I can also see a more boisterous group playing games, planning the next day's adventures at the table looking over the park, and eating great meals!
The upstairs rooms were comfy and the larger room had an extra heater to keep us warm (with an amazing view of the castle!)
This house was perfect for our gathering! I can't imagine a better gathering spot for old friends after so many years apart!
Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I am so glad that you enjoyed the comfort and convenient location of the house.
Beautiful house in a great location
My family had an amazing stay in Royal Gardens, with open views over King's Knot and up to Stirling Castle. It is an easy walk into town with a good selection of restaurants and good road and rail transport connections. Best of all, we went to see Runrig on their farewell tour; and got an extra night of music with fireworks.
Thanks so much,
You could not have chosen a better spot for your concert. I am glad you liked the house too.
Lovely spacious home for central starting point to visit areas of Scotland
My family of six was very comfortable in Alison's home. It had plenty of comfy blankets, pillows, towels, etc. The kitchen was well stocked. The view was lovely and the location is excellent for going to highland games, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Loch Lomond, and of course hanging around the beautiful town of Stirling. We did not meet Alison in person, but all communications were quickly answered. The weather could have been a bit sunnier for us, but I guess that is Scotland!
Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I am sorry the weather was not the best but as you say that’s Scotland!
Great, very spacious house in a lovely area. View from bedroom window is a delight. Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen and enclosed, private garden. Would recommend!
I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and Thank you for your kind comments.
A brilliant stay!
Really enjoyed staying there. It's a beautiful house in a beautiful area close to town and the train station. Would highly recommend.
Thank you, Kamile, for your lovely comments.
We love the house and are glad you did too.
