About the property

This is a spacious south facing villa located in the very heart of the original village of LA Cala de Mijas (Which is roughly half way between Malaga airport and Marbella). It benefits from on street parking, a sunny garden and front terrace situated some 200 yards from the beach.

The property is 2 minutes walk to the beach and less than 5 minutes from 2 kids playgrounds and the main boulevard of restaurants, shops, banks, stores and bars.

The house is fully air conditioned supplying both hot & cold air. At the front of the house you can relax or dine al fresco on the garden, terrace or under the shaded awning.

The main lounge has satellite TV, DVD player and there is WiFi throughout the property including the front terrace. Separated from the lounge by a dining area with a large dining table seating 6, the kitchen has all electric appliances including a fridge freezer, hob, fan oven and microwave.

The main bedroom opens out onto a front balcony over the garden with the house sleeping 6 in total in 1 double and 2 twin rooms. It has 2 bathrooms, 1 with a bath and both with shower facilities.

There is a smaller walled rear terrace, providing further space, a washing machine and drying area.

The reason we bought this house was that it was and is a home from home. It is the perfect location to relax on or off the beach, is close to all the necessary amenities and is a safe fun place for kids wherever they go. The house is situated on one of the best residential streets with virtually flat pavements and no major roads to cross, making it ideal for all ages.

The village has a large choice of restaurants, from fish and chips to fine dining along with many bars and ice cream shops. The village is well known for its long sandy beach and new boardwalk stretching several kilometres along the coast in the direction of Marbella.

It is also close to numerous golf courses, water parks,a zoo and the vibrant night life and shopping in Puerto Banus & Marbella.

Spainish Holday.

Loved the position of the accommodation however that's about all! First negative were the roadwork construction outside the apartment causing lots of noise and dusty trecks to the shops. I know this probably couldn't be avoided by the owners but surely they could have let us know. These road works went on for the whole week we were there and are still continuing. As for the apartment itself, it was old and very tired and not very clean. We washed all the crockery and cutlery before we used them and the linen was faded and threadbare, the sheets were bobbled and uncomfortable. There was no information about the area in the apartment.

In brief although it was only budget accommodation we were sorely disappointed.

A few days break

We have rented many properties from this site and up until now never had a problem.

We were told to contact a neighbor for the keys, however we were trying all day with no answer, contacted the owners who replied keep trying. Finally managed to gain access around 7-00 pm after a day of thinking we will have to sleep in the car. The house was not very clean, dirty bedding etc had to remove 2 live cockroaches and then we noticed a flower pot on the wall half full of dead one as well. We spoke with the owners who apologized and were going to get it sorted, but didn't manage it. We did find out that the neighbor was in hospital and no one else new we were staying there and we were lucky to find someone at home to collect the keys. Not a pleasant experience and won't be staying here again. On the good side the location is excellent.

Zo vervuild en onvriendelijk hebben wij het nog nooit gehad!

Alles in het huis is zeer oud en onverzorgd. In de keuken zijn alle spullen onder de laag van oud vet!

Het persoon die het huis begeerde was zeer onvriendelijk. Handdoeken zagen erg zo uit dat ik me afvroeg of ze gewassen waren... Elke ochtend zat huis vol met dode kakkerlakken van 5 cm groot, die kwamen waarschijnlijk van buiten.

Beschamend dat je voor zoiets nog geld moet betalen!

Nooit meer!
