We would like to welcome guests to our restored Edwardian house in the heart of Weymouth just off the Esplanade with it's fine sandy beach. The house has a modern kitchen and bathroom and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The downstairs is open plan with a large lounge leading to a formal dining area. A breakfast/dining area is beyond this, with a long kitchen and breakfast bar further on leading to a courtyard style garden through patio doors. If you need a quiet time away from the hubub of a busy household, there is a small television in the second bedroom. Great for the children to have films while the adults socialise.
There are garden chairs and a table, a parasol, a large BBQ and tools (you will need you own charcoal).
Upstairs, there is a large double bedroom with a bay window and cupboard. The floor has been stripped and varnished with rugs beside the beds. This room has an comfortable double bed, bedside cabinets, lamps, a small Edwardian wardrobe with hangers and a dressing table/chest of drawers with a triple tilting mirror. There is a travel cot and a cot duvet in the cupboard.
There is also a twin room with patio doors and a Juliette balcony rail for safety. This room is carpeted, with twin Edwardian style beds, bedside cabinets, lamps, and a dressing table/chest of drawers with a tilting mirror, and hanging pegs on the wall. The second TV and DVD player is temporarily on this room pending the creation of a garden room at the rear of the property.
The bathroom is on the first floor with a shower over the bath with a glass shower screen. As this is a period property with sloping ceilings in the bathroom, the shower is low and taller people will need to sit or crouch down to wash their hair. (Please note, we are installing another shower room and WC downstairs).
There is a door on the landing from which stairs lead up to a large open loft room with twin cream Edwardian style bed frames, bedside cabinets, lamps, two small chests of drawers and a hanging rail for clothes. The floor has been stripped and varnished with rugs beside the beds.
The property is a short walk from the Esplanade with its long sandy beach, and an easy walk into town, the train station and the popular quayside.
There are three bedrooms, so will sleep 6 comfortably if you don't mind sharing one bathroom.
Pets are welcome for a small additional charge, but should be kept downstairs only please.
Bath amenities include hair dryers (in the dressing table drawers of the double bedroom).
Entertainment: WiFi throughout, and two freeview flat screen TVs are included in the property, with scart and HDMI sockets.
Recreation and sports equipment: family board games, reading books and a multi sports table with table football, pool, table-top hockey and table tennis for young children are included. This is situated in the loft room.
Changeover days are Friday to Friday for weekly holidays and Friday-Monday (3 nights) and Monday to Friday (4 nights) for short breaks.
Notes on accommodation: An on-line parking permit is provided free of charge for on street parking for one vehicle (no paperwork or ticket required). This is for Zone 'A' where the house is situated. Unrestricted on road parking is available nearby.
