Better than the website
4 of us stayed here for 3 nights while we experienced whale watching and shark diving. It was a perfect location. The views were great. We had whales just outside our patio door! We were able to sit on the patio and view the whales for hours each day we were there. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was equipped with all we needed. I can only give 4 stars unfortunately because of two things. The bathroom door needs work and won't close, obviously this has been an issue for awhile because the review book in the apartment mentions it several times. The second thing in this day and age is really crazy. The wifi is limited to 300MB/day? 4 people, 300MB? I would like to give kudos to the property manager. We came in late on a Sunday and could have possibly ended up buying a hotel room the first night based upon their key pick up rules. They had someone come out and meet us in town for a key way later than their hours.......thank you, thank you, thank you! I would stay here again if/when i come back.
Hi Ken, thank you for your review and I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The apartment has recently been extensively renovated and the door is now fixed. The WiFi is no longer limited to 300mbs per day and we recently upgraded the speed as well.
View and space
Lovely apartment, well eqipped. Good contact with the owner, no complaints.
Beautiful coastal apartment
The apartment is large, well equipped, and clean. The balcony is terrific, and the main room has a nice view of the bay. The master bedroom also has a great view; the other two bedrooms do not, but they are nice rooms. Communication with the owner and agent was clear and timely.
We loved the coastal walk right in front of the building and walked to the nature preserve, which is beautiful. We enjoyed quiet DeKelders and this apartment.
Thanks for the lovely comments about the apartment! We also love the coastal walk - you need to come back in full whale season when it's really wonderful to see the whales right there as you walk!
We so enjoyed our stay for 4 nights. Watching whales from the balcony in the afternoon and evening sun was fantastic. Loved having bbq on balcony. Could do with more than one shower but there are 3 toilets. Highly recommended.
I'm thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us and your whale watching from the balcony. I think the whales make a truly beautiful part of the world even more special. We hope to see you again!
An amazing place!
We just want to say thank you for the use of your apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment is lovely, warm and very comfortable and so well-appointed, to say nothing of the neatness! You have really catered to ensure that your guests are comfortable in every respect and feel at home, thanks to the small details which are often forgotten in self-catering places.
The views over False Bay are amazing.
The apartment is also situated in a beautiful region, with many places of interest to visit.
The only thing we missed was WIFI access.
We will definitely come again.
Thank you so much for your kind words Rita. We're always thrilled when people enjoy the apartment as much as we do. Next time you should come back in whale season (approximately August to December), there's no better view of the moms and babies than from The Lookout's balcony! We look forward to your return!
