You will enjoy our quiet and relaxing home adjoining the picturesque Catalina Mountains. As residents of the Saddlebrooke community, you will enjoy free use of all of the four pools, exercise facilities, tennis courts and pickleball courts. (And we are only a ten minute walk from those at the Preserve.)
You will not be bored at Saddlebrooke. In addition to the amenities, there are clubs (over 100, in all) for pottery, hiking, tennis, pickleball, biking, golf, dance, gardening, politics, library, writing and even cat lovers! We enjoy Trivia night, Tuesday night movies, bingo, musical performances, lectures, and, most of all, the friendly residents at Saddlebrooke.
Our two bedroom home is spacious, and the backyard patio is a perfect spot to spend a relaxing evening (sipping a glass of wine or a Corona?) watching the sunset as you listen to the soothing sounds of hummingbirds, house finches, cactus wren and mourning doves. Wildlife is plentiful. Within Saddlebrooke we have seen deer, coyotes, bobcats, javelina, jackrabbits, great horned owls, road runners, vermillion flycatchers and cardinals. Within easy driving distance there are a myriad of well-marked hiking trails that wind through the neighboring mountains. There are three public golf courses at Saddlebrooke.
Shopping and wonderful restaurants are not far away. Local attractions include University of Arizona, Biosphere 2, Sonora Desert Wildlife Museum, Pima Air Museum (and the “boneyard”), Sabino Canyon, missions, Tucson Botanical Gardens, Arizona State Museum, casinos, Titan Missile silo, copper mine tours, Tubac and the historic Congress Hotel.
Our home is a 45 minute drive to the Tucson Airport and a two hour drive to Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport. A shuttle service is available for trips to Sky Harbor.
