Other small but renowned Chianti centers such as Radda and Gaiole are only about 40 minutes away, while Pisa airport is about an hour away. The coast with its prestigious tourist centers such as Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi can be reached in about an hour. From the house you can enjoy a wonderful view over the entire city of Florence, on the hills of Fiesole and Settignano.

Settignano was a safe holiday resort during the summer for Florentine guelphs. Giovanni Boccaccio and Niccolò Tommaseo appreciated its freshness, its vineyards and its fields of olive trees, the typical landscape of Italian gardens.
