Due to its central position between the Siena triangle, Florence and Arezzo, both Arezzo and Siena can be reached in just one hour. Other small but renowned Chianti centers such as Radda and Gaiole are only about 40 minutes away, while Pisa airport is about an hour away. The coast with its prestigious tourist centers such as Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi can be reached in about an hour. From the house you can enjoy a wonderful view over the entire city of Florence, on the hills of Fiesole and Settignano.
Villa Fraschette has a beautiful garden and free private parking. The accommodation is suitable for couples, lonely adventurers, business travelers, families (with children), big groups and hairy friends (pets).
The recent renovation has provided the villa with all the modern comforts, without altering the original plant.
Nicely furnished by the owner who has collected and partly completed the many works that enrich and embellish the house, creating a very suggestive environment in a perfect union between the new and the old.
All rooms have a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, hairdryer and courtesy set, while some feature a comfortable seating area. Villa Fraschette is also fully covered by free WiFi.
Renzo's house is located in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. It takes 27 - 44 minutes by car to Amerigo Vespucci Airport.
In the village there are Roman remains that can be attributed to the time of Septimus Severus (end of II century AD) - where honor in the sixteenth century was erected a statue in the oldest square of the country, destroyed in 1944 - although Settlement in this area is much earlier. By Septimus, the Septimianus, "Septimus" landmark was derived.
Settignano was a safe holiday resort during the summer for Florentine guelphs. Giovanni Boccaccio and Niccolò Tommaseo appreciated its freshness, its vineyards and its fields of olive trees, the typical landscape of Italian gardens.
In 1898 Gabriele d'Annunzio bought the 14th century Villa of Capponcina in the area of Settignano, to be closer to his lover, Eleonora Duse, at Villa Porziuncola.
