This 900 square foot cabin is located on quiet Caribou Lake. Cabin has been totally remodeled and includes three bed rooms. One bedroom with Full size bed, one with bunk beds, and the third room with a futon type bed. Full bath, kitchen and dining area and a new stone fire place. The fire place is capable of heating this cabin but has electric heat as a back up. Large front deck and a dock with two seat peddle boat included. Kitchen has new stove, refrigerator and microwave. Large sliding glass door leads onto the deck. Gas grill and fire ring near lake with seating. Fire wood included. Caribou Lake is a 550 acre lake with 21 foot max depth. The size of the lake is not much for large boats. Better suited for small fishing boats, kayaks, canoes. and the like. The boat launch is only two blocks away from this cabin as is the swimming beach. The lake has great pan fish with a few bass and northern. This cabin is located on a residential area of the lake with occupied housing on either side. We do have television on the property with dvd capability but no TV reception at this time. We also do not have laundry facilities at the cabin. There is good cell phone reception at this location. Last year we had a nesting pair of Bald Eagles nearby and the occasional loon stroll by. Last year we had a bad storm roll through on July 21. The cabin came out of it ok but left us with a lot of downed trees. We are still in the process of cleaning up but shouldn't interfere with your summer fun. More wood for the fire pit. Hope to hear from you....David and Mary

Cozy, clean and comfortable.
With a great view of the lake and a nice indoor fireplace, the Schultz place was just right! Lots of fun and artistic touches within the cabin.
Great get-away! Perfect cabin!!
Stayed here for 5 days while we hiked along the North shore with four of our kids ranging from ages 13 to 8. Plenty of room in the cabin. Very clean and updated with nice decor. Great sandy beach very close to the cabin. We enjoyed smores around the fire pit in the back yard. We fished off the pier and out in the lake from the paddleboat that is available to use. The boys caught over 70 panfish. They were pulling in mostly bluegill, but also got quite a few crappie, sunfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern, and perch. We threw them all back, but easily could have had a great fish fry if we wanted. We were just far away from Duluth to feel like we were lost in the North woods, but yet close enough to drive a bit to enjoy the city when we wanted. There's lots of coffee shops, pizza shops, kwik trip, and a grocery store within 10 miles of the cabin as well. We will definitely be coming back.
It was a great getaway, with direct access to the lake and the perfect size cabin for a family of 5. We spent lots of time outside fishing and bonfires and inside playing games! We loved the location and would definitely visit again!!!
Wonderful Cabin on a beautiful lake
Our family had a great stay here. We brought our own kayaks and paddle boards for the lake, but they also have a paddle boat that you can use. Located close enough to Duluth that it's still an easy 20 to 25 minute drive to get to activities in town. We would definitely love stay here again if we return to this area.
This cabin was a perfect escape. We will come back!
This was a great cabin to stay at and everything we had hoped for. We had a great Bon Fire and it has the cutest inside wood fireplace which was very easy to start. It was so fun walking in and seeing how nice and clean the whole cabin was. It is decorated so cute but not cluttered. Location is great, close enough to Duluth but without a lot of traffic. I would recommend it to others and we hope to come back sometime.
