We invite you to stay with us and take a ride into the past, experiencing a true piece of American history. Caboose Junction Resort is located on 9 lakefront park-like acres of private paradise on beautiful Table Rock Lake, nestled amongst the rolling hills of southwest Missouri. With space for 38 GUESTS Caboose Junction provides your large group or family reunion an exciting, one-of-a-kind adventure. Gracing our resort are six authentic Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF) cabooses, some of the last great remnants of our country's proud railroad heritage. For nearly a half-century, these cabooses roamed the rails throughout Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and many other parts of the Southwest and West. After taking one final journey from Wichita, Kansas, to Exeter, Missouri, and then by highway to Table Rock Lake, Lampe, Missouri, the cabooses were retired and converted into charming resort units. Today, families and friends from all across the U.S. come to relax in these nostalgic cabooses and experience all that the area has to offer. In addition to the six cabooses there is a large home on the resort, called the Grand Victorian Hotel. This home has 6 bedrooms and 5 and a half bathrooms that can accommodate 14 guests and is decorated with antiques from the Victorian Era. You will get to experience and see how great grandma lived, but still have all the modern conveniences of today. You can rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to sleep in the room fit for the queen or the "maids" quarters. Sit in the parlor and enjoy the view, play a game of cards, read an old book, or take a nap on the fainting couch. The choice is yours! Our 6 individual antique train cabooses can host up to 24 “passengers” and are equipped with a mini fridge and cable tv. The cabooses are best suited for two adults and two children each as we wanted to keep the authenticity of the rail car.

The four stall private dock comes with a one of a kind upper level jumping platform. It also makes for a great place to soak up the rays or watch the boats go by. There is your own private boat ramp on the property which makes it VERY convenient if you decide to bring your own boat or jet skis. The amenities include FREE kayaks, fishing poles, fire pits with free firewood, private dock, swim deck, jumping platform, FREE WiFi, pool table, ping pong table, and comfortable hammocks that invite recreation and relaxation amid the gorgeous serenity of Table Rock Lake. There is also a row boat and a canoe you can enjoy at your leisure. Your family will never forget the atmosphere of Caboose Junction inspiring the joys of family bonding and creating fun-filled memories that will last a lifetime. Caboose Junction is one of the most distinctive resorts in the Ozarks, home to some of the most scenic mountains, lakes, rivers, and exciting family entertainment in the U.S. Table Rock Lake offers boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing, tubing, jet skiing and so much more! Just a few of the attractions around Table Rock Lake include Eureka Springs, Silver Dollar City, Shepherd of the Hills, Branson, Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, and Talking Rocks Cavern. A week won't be long enough to experience all that the Ozarks has to offer.

When you are searching for an unforgettable experience of history, family fun and everlasting memories, Caboose Junction Resort is the place! All aboard! Give us a call to discuss any questions or how we can make your next family reunion the best you ever had!

About Stan (property manager)

Steve and Connie Faria, the owners of the popular resort Chalets on Table Rock Lake, were extremely impressed and intrigued by what they saw at Caboose Junction. They felt an immediate connection with the beauty and character of this incredible resort located on the shores of Table Rock Lake. They knew in an instant, after viewing the property in 2015, they needed to bring this unique property into their family of quality lakefront resorts. A rare gem, it offered everything the Faria’s were seeking in providing the same high level and quality experience to their valued guests. Their purpose and goal in the resort business is to help families bond together in a fun-filled, family environment and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Caboose Junction is one of the few resorts on Table Rock lake that offers this remarkable and memorable experience.

Why Stan (property manager) chose Lampe

Caboose Junction Resort was the brainchild of Will and Pat Palmer, who moved to Lampe, Missouri, in 1972. The couple wanted to offer a vacation experience like no other in the Ozarks, so they decided to convert six authentic Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway cabooses into charming resort units. The couple’s decision was a big hit as visitors from all across the U.S. for the last forty years had come for a stay in the resort cabooses. Our vision for the future of Caboose Junction Resort is to bring back the Old West and recreate the atmosphere and charm while providing top notch accommodations on beautiful Table Rock Lake. Our goal to transform the resort is set for 2018 so look for us in the future if this doesn't meet what you are looking for this year!

What makes this house unique

Your entire family can have a private retreat all to themselves! 9 acres and a private boat dock with lots of free amenities to enjoy!

A great place for our family reunion

  • 5 of 5

This resort can handle a lot of people with a six bedroom house and six cabooses. We used them all and had a wonderful week. The families that stayed in the cabooses were excited to do something as unique as that experience. The house is beautifully renovated and extremely roomy and comfortable. Having a large private dock with lots of "lake toys" gave us lots of things to do without having to leave the resort. We rented two wave runners for the week and found it very convenient to have a boat launching ramp on site and dock slips in which to park them when not being used. We were pleased to find a ping pong table and a pool table at the house which got a lot of use. We recommend this resort strongly to anyone with a large group.
