lovely apartment and owners

  • 4 of 5

Location was a bit hard to find since this apartment is practically in the "middle of nowhere" but finding it was worth it. Owners are wonderful people and their apartment is lovely, clean, well-maintained and calm. No activities, attractions or restaurants nearby but plenty of small cities are are close enough by car. I certainly would recommend this property, I loved it.

Relaxing, quirky, spacious apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Ruth and Wolf's 2 bedroom apartment for 1 week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit is bright and airy and the bedrooms are especially spacious. An added bonus is having your own sitting area in their garden. The area around provides a wide variety of things to do - cycling, walks, beautiful villages to visit and great scenery. Ruth and Wolf were very welcoming and provided us with great advice on the local area. It was a bonus for us that they spoke good English. The apartment is in in small village not far from Lioux. We would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Location spacieuse, propre et calme. Patio verdoyant. Bien situé: proche de site touristique comme Gordes, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Roussillon, Colorado de Rustrel etc... Randonnée toutes proches. Wolf est acceuillant et disponible, il renseigne bien sur les choses à visiter.

Lioux, Le Château, is characterized by a Provençal castle from the 17th century and an imposing cliff, which forms the south edge of a small valley, inviting to a small ramble. Here, at this enchanting place, you will be a little bit secluded from the beaten tourist track; the most charming places such as Roussillon, Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, however, will be in easy reach. Apart from that, the picturesque markets of Apt and l‘Isle sur la Sorgue are also only a few minutes’ drive away.

In the midst of lavender fields and vineyards, surrounded by thyme and lavender scents, you will find numerous hiking trails and many a demanding cycle route. The nearer surroundings provide opportunities for swimming, canoeing, tennis, horse riding and golf or simply for a game of boules on the village green.

Ideal destinations for going on a day trip are the Camargue, the Pont du Gard, Avignon, Aix en Provence, Nîmes, the Mont Ventoux or the Côte d'Azur.

Other Activities: jeu de boules
