Described as 'charming', El Niu is situated in a quiet, private residence looking out towards the sea with access to the beach at 50m. El Niu, meaning 'the nest' in Catalan, was selected by us for it's perfect location and access to secure parking. El Niu is on the top (2nd) floor of the apartment building is well equipped for those who wish to explore as well as those who just want to relax. Within walking distance of both Collioure (20 minutes) and Port Vendres (10 minutes) and a supermarket (2 minutes) you can park the car & enjoy your holiday. With a wide choice of cafés, restaurants, galleries and attractions near by and Spain 20 minutes drive away, entertainment is easy to find. Comprising of 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom (bunk beds), living/dining room, kitchenette, shower room and separate toilet, the apartment is comfortable for 2-4 people. Pay as you go Wifi and baby equipment are available on request.

For those who like to explore, Perpignan, Céret and Argeles are all within a few minutes drive. Perpignan is world renowned for it's photo journalism festival. In Céret, you will find many galleries including the Museum of Modern Art which houses a permanent Picasso exhibition. Argeles is ideal for families with children with lots of activities, a leisure park, many coloured plastic things and ice cream.
Within 30 minutes drive you can be in Spain and visit many of the wonderful attractions such at the Dali Museum in Figueres, the beautiful town of Roses or a little further and you can enjoy tapas in Barcelona.

Hello, bonjour, jambo and welcome! I grew up in Lancashire, UK and spent much of my adult life living in different countries around the world finally settling in the South of France in 2012. I am also a keen traveller and take every oprtunity I get to explore new places. As such I have taken all the best features I have come across and tried to incorporate them into your experience of staying in one of our apartments.

PARKING! Anyone who has been to Collioure before will understand why this is so important. Each apartment has a place in the secure carpark.
Many people book to stay in the town centre only to learn that they need to park their car 20 minutes away. This is not so convenient for unloading shopping, kids or luggage.
There are 2 beaches in the residence and within 10 - 20 minutes walk you can be in Collioure or Port-Vendres. There is alo a supermarket within 3 minutes walk.
If I were to advise travellers here are a few things I would suggest:
Decide what is really important for you during your stay and contact the property manager to make sure that it is available. Remember, the property is only a part of the holiday experince and ask about other aspects. Feel free to call me or email, I don't bite.
Check the photos of the property and read the description properly.
Take advice from the property manager on what to do in the area. We have loads of local knowledge that can't be found on the internet.
TRAVEL INSURANCE, make sure you have it! Many things can go wrong, from illness to your holiday being cancelled. While these things are rare they could happen. At least this way you will be covered.
Try and be on time. I know from personal experience that delays are inevitable at sometimes, but please don't forget that there is someone who is waiting for you on your arrival.
Finally, if something isn't right during your stay, let the manager know while you are there. There really is nothing that can be done to improve your holiday once you have left.

A reservation/damage deposit of Euros 200 secures your reservation. This deposit is refunded after the rental on condition that the apartment is left clean an tidy and there are no breakages. Unless alternative arrangements have been made between the owner and the renter, the full rental amount must be paid 2 months prior to the rental date.The cost of sending the payment must be paid by renter.

Had a fantastic week at El Niu, which has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Superb location, with two gorgeous bays either side of the property for excellent snorkelling and swimming, and a short walk into either Collioure or Port Vendres for sightseeing and great restaurants.
No particular need for a hire car, but it is worth hiring one to explore this beautiful region. Remi is a mine of information on the area and can make some excellent recommendations depending on your interests. Only had a week, wish it was longer – will just have to come back!
Excellent location, apartment is clean and airy and has all the little things you require. Remi is a very genial host with lots of local information and tips. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The apartment has a great view over the sea. The apartment is actually bigger than it looks on the pictures. The only thing we missed was wine glasses which underlines that this is a very well equipped apartment with all you need to cook for meals etc. Big food store and car rental 2 minutes from the apartment. As our french is at best horrible it is worth mentioning that the contact-person Thackery renting out the flat speaks perfect english and really went the extra mile, and more, to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. Not only did he help out with aspects related to the apartment but also gave good tips on what to see in the area surrounding Collioure etc. The apartment is also equipped with a guide on various sites and restaurant tips in Port Vendres and Collioure.
Accessible from airports Perpignan, Girona, Bezier, Cacassonne and Barcelona. Within 20 minutes walk of the centre of Collioure, 10 minutes walk to Port-Vendres and 3 minutes walk to a supermarket. Easily accessed with major airports, railway stations and road networks nearby. Enjoying the beaches, restaurants and scenery is very popular. For those who like to explore there are many attractions in the area, markets, museums and mountain walks. Spain is on the doorstep just 20 minutes drive away and within an hours you can reach the cities of Perpigan, Ceret and Figueres. From the residence you enjoy uninterrupted views across the bay to Collioure harbour entrance and along the great sweep of coast. There is ample parking on the residence or you can use the designated space in the secure communal parking using the electronic key provided.
