Why Alysa Finley, Property Manager chose Cascade
I purchased this property because of its historical significance. I like older homes and the 'big house" (behind which is the cottage) was the first home built in Cascade . Cascade itself was a resort community in the late 1800's, populated mostly by people from Kansas who bought second homes to escape the summer heat and is now populated by those of us who like the rural feel yet easy access to the city. Those of us who live here feel this is a special place.
What makes this Cottage unique
Quiet, cool, peaceful, rural setting by the creek with old growth trees, beautiful gardens, and access to the trails.

The location was great because there wasn't any traffic or outside noise, very quiet. It was close to town and plenty of places nearby to stay occupied. The only downside which really isn't a big deal, is that taller people can't move around so easily up and down the stairs and in the upper room. The bed is a little small (I'm 5'11") but was still able to sleep comfortably.
This was the perfect place for our honeymoon! We had a rough start with our trip starting from the moment we arrived in Charlotte, NC until the moment we received our rental car in Denver, CO with lost luggage and all. We arrived super early to the property and they were generous enough to let us go ahead and check in several hours early. They answered every question we had and gave us plenty of privacy. Thank you so much for helping us make unforgettable memories on this once of a lifetime trip!
I had such a wonderful and magical stay in your cottage. It is beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing. Sitting in It watching it snow unwinding from my ling drive was one of my favorite memories. It was close to everything I had planned. Loved that it had a washer and dryer. We cooked in some and had everything we needed. Would definitely reccomend! Hope to get the chance to stay again in the future.
Great location and wonderful environment! Will definitely be back :)
tv and stairs
the tv was upstairs and the steps were very steep to the upstairs did not have any thing to listen to down stairs ,other than that it was good, nice and quiet
Im glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the stairs a steep. Its a quirky little place. We have thought of putting a TV downstairs, but the living room is small and there really is no place for one without blocking views of the creek.
Im sorry there was no radio. There was supposed to be. Sometimes things go missing and it takes your review to learn of this. Thank you for the heads up. There will be a a stereo available for your next visit.
A quaint little getaway.
A beautiful quiet place in the woods. My husband and I enjoyed the relaxing serenity which was much needed. Would recommend this cottage to anyone. Will keep this place in our favorites to look at for future stays.
Thank you for your review James. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. Please feel free to contact me when you would like to stay with us again.
We are now offering the use of our brand new top of the line Hot tub.
