It is a traditional stone built cottage dating from 1860 which has been modernised an equipped to a very high standard. The cottage is only a short distance from the centre of the lovely town of Melrose with its wide range of high quality, shops, restaurants and bistros. The cottage offers the best of both worlds enjoying a very private south-facing location looking over our gardens to the Eildon Hills but is within very easy reach of a wide range of local tourist attractions and services. Tweedbank station and The Borders railway is less that 1 mile away and provides direct and frequent train access to central Edinburgh with all its attractions.

Very Comfortable and Clean
We enjoyed our stay in The Stables and found it very comfortable and cosy. It also had a pretty outside area to sit too. Claire and Donald were very friendly hosts. Melrose is a beautiful town and lots to do there and in the surrounding area. You probably need a car.
Lovely little cottage in nice surroundings. Has everything you need, is clean, modern and lovely and warm.
Lovely hosts, accomodations, and garden after walking along Hadrian's Wall
We were delighted by our stay. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. The garden was stunning and an extra treat. The property is well-maintained and beautiful. We enjoyed the comfort after hiking for five hours. The location and parking are easy. This is a great option and a very good value.
