Guestbook comments from the manager

"Excellent apartment in an excellent location within the old Morzine town. My group and I were made to feel VERY welcome by the owner and were greeted by an amazingly well equipped apartment.

Decor and layout is comfortable and cosy as well as being very close (about 5-10mins cycle or walk) of the Pleny and Super Morzine lifts.

Have stayed at 5 different apartments within Morzine and this has definitely been the best yet.

Looking forward to returning again next year!

Basic property, but ideal for a no frills stay.

A cosy accommodation that can offer great value for money. It is situated short walk from main lifts, near a supermarket and great for nearby Dixie, Rhodos, Beanie, Robinson bars. Double bed, bunk beds and a sofa, small kitchen and toilet bath/shower. Very basic and tired looking, but warm and hot water.

Transfer from Geneva by Snow-Drops, easy, great ski area, with lively nightlife.

Location good, property a bit tired.

Convienient location for bars, we left our skis and boots at the rental shop close to lift so the 5 minute walk to the lifts was easy. Very much a crash pad but for the price it is worth it. Bathroom not great - nobody mentioned the button on the showerhead so our showers were a dribble until we discovered it. As we were out and about most of the time it was ok.

Has huge potential BUT

Amazing location and the size was perfect for me, my hubby and 2 girls.

However, when upstairs have a shower water pours through the bathroom ceiling.

The cutlery drawer has a really awful smell making the cutlery smell.

Some of the lights don't work making the apartment even darker.

The sofa is horrendous, the slates constantly falling out.

The kettle was full of limescale so we had to use a saucepan to boil water.

This apartment has massive potential but we were really disappointed and we left a day early.

Owner's Response: Hi Jo, Sorry for the delay of this online response, thanks for you're review. We did have some management / guest issues this summer that have now been resolved. The bulbs have all been replaced, along with the kettle and a new sofa. As for a smell in the cutlery drawer not sure what could have caused that. The apartment is having a renovation makeover ready for summer 2017, hopefully you will come back and see the changes... As for the leak from the apartment above, our neighbour assures us this has been dealt with, and once again we do apologise for this. Thanks... Craig

Cute little place to stay

The property was in a great location.

We walked everywhere.

Perfect size for a family of 3 with an 8 year old.

The decor is a little tired. But the beds were comfy and the shower was hot..... So we couldn't ask for more.

Great little base to go back to.

Perfect for the price.

Owners gave clear details regarding the property.

Would happily go back again. Many thanks.

Cosy apartment in a great location

Fab, quiet little apartment located centrally for supermarket, Pleney ski lift, ESF and also few minutes walk from bars, cafes, the main square and buses to Nyon & Avoriaz.

A doormat or shoe rack would have been a useful addition near the door but otherwise the apartment was well equipped and contains a ski/bike locker at the rear (although we left our equipment at the rental shop each night for free) and, useful for us as a family, parking directly outside the door.

Communication with owners was prompt and easy every time pre and during the trip.

The only real downside was there was no wifi connection (local hotel provides free connection but nothing at the apartment) when we required it.

Cosy property - Great location - Enjoyable stay.

Great location - Less than 10 minutes walk to Pleney chairlift. A nice selection of bars restaurants and a supermarket a couple of minutes walk away.

There is a ski cupboard at the rear of the building - but with a family of 4 (2 children) we chose to take a locker in the Pleney lift building... good value at €60 for the week I thought. If you are renting your ski equipment from a shop near the lifts some of them let you store your equipment there overnight free of charge which saves carrying it back each day... and saves €60.

Property was cosy and perfectly ok / functional for our family ski holiday. Although TV not connected to a TV arial there was a great selection of DVD's to watch. Films to suit all ages / tastes.

Only minor negatives were bathroom was looking a bit tired and in need of a makeover - although shower was decent & hot. We always took shoes off as we came in door - but would have been good if there was some sort of shoe rack to catch drips from bottom of shoes or perhaps some old newspapers available to mop up the damp from the snow & ice.

Had a great week skiing - excellent snow, sunshine & blue sky all week. Would recommend Morzine & would not hesitate to use this property again. A good place to stay. Many Thanks

Owner's Response: Steve, we take that on board, and the Bathroom is the next on our list to modernise, thank you for the rest of the review though. Craig

Nearest Airport
80 Kilometres
Car: not necessary

La Petite Taniere is situated in the old part of Morzine, immediately behind the library and close to the church and mayor's office.

Only 50 metres walk from the Rhodos Hotel, Dixie Bar and Bar Robinson - great places for apres ski and apres bike!

Many ski and bike shops close by.

Supermarket approx 150 metres walk.
