Comfortable town house, fully furnished. Perfect family getaway, children welcome. Very romantic for two. A village house with a terrace, barbecue, 4 chairs/table, 2 sun beds and a shade. Close to the village centre. 15 min away from the beach in the Port of Soller. WiFi DVD player/movies and an XBox with games.
The Port Soller, and its beaches are a 10 minute drive from the village. There is a local bus service between Fornalutx, Soller and Port Soller. There mountains surrounding the village are full of marked Hiking Trails and the mountain roads are used by many professional cycling teams for their early season training.
The owner's mother is from the village and is happy to help should the need arise during your stay. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Mallorcan.
The above picture was taken my first visit to see my grand parents who are from the village. My great grand mother is to the right of grand father.

Very quite, the street is pedestrian only. Parking is less than 2 mins away. It´s an old 16th century stone town house that stays cool in the summer. Very close to the bars, shops and restaurants in the village but it´s location means its very quite. The beach is less than a 10 minute drive in Port of Soller. Soller is only a half hour walk where you can take the tram to the beach. There is also a bus that will take you to Soller, if you don´t want to hire a car.
My mother still lives is the village she grew up in and will help in any way possible to make your stay the best it can be.
We had a very nice time in your beautiful house. We liked the arrangement of the house - all the old tools and others things. We found the house well-maintained and clean. Your service to us has been very good. We would surely recommend the house to family and friends (as you know we have already done).
The village is lovely with a nice square and a good supermercado. The location is good for a lot of activities as walking in the mountains and swimming in Port de Soller.
We will hopefully be back some time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Fornalutx, our first visit to Majorca did not disappoint. The house is very well located for local shops, bars and restaurants. In fact there is everything you could need in the village including a bank and a pharmacy. There are a range of places to eat and drink. The house is very comfortable and well appointed, excellent wifi! We loved the way in which the house had been filled with paintings and drawings and local ephemera.
We used the local bus to go to Port de Soller and the tram from there back to Soller. Also walked to Soller through the back streets of both villages and the woods and olive and citrus groves that separate them. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Palma on the train from Soller and the white knuckle drive to Pollenca! Apart from that there was always a coffee to be drunk on the roof terrace from where we watched the most amazing sunsets and moon rises; or a beer or orange juice to be enjoyed in the square after a long, hot day; or a glass of wine before a delicious meal in a local restaurant!!
A word of warning, this is a village full of steep stepped streets and the stairs in the house too!
Great little house in the absolute center of town. Highly recommended for hikers how are seeking a quite getaway in the mountainside. Comfortable beds for 4 people would not recommend for sex as extra bed is not great. Only has one bathroom in need of renovation but it fullfilled our expectations.
A lovely stay in the beautiful village of Fornalutx. We enjoyed the comfortable and interesting house.
On a personal note, we really enjoyed the pictures and asked your mother a few questions about the background of Edmund Hodges. I was fascinated that his home was Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway as my parents were from the same area. I hope you don't mind if I ask you whether he was a teacher at the Elliott School as my father was a teacher there.
We loved returning to the house and it was just as perfect as we remembered. Situated in a beautiful village we were happy to stay and explore Fornalutx and the surrounding area as well as the rest of the island. In less than and hour you can walk to Soller and then get the wooden tram to the beach.
Property was as described and clean with sharp knives for cooking and plenty of pots and pans. Comfy beds, air con, and a roof terrace - all you need in this beautiful setting!
Charming, authentic village house within steps from restaurants, small supermarket, bakery. Nice little rooftop terrace for bbq with amazing views! We enjoyed it very much, thanks Joseph.
The apartment was beautiful, with historic charm. Decor, view, architecture, etc. made it the perfect retreat. Loved the rooftop patio. The place was super clean and the bed comfortable. Joseph was very helpful during our stay. Fornalutx is perfectly located on the island, and we would stay at this property again. Thank you!
The centre of Fornalutx is the Plaça d'Espanya, surrounded by cafés and a general store. Overlooking the square (on a higher level reached by steps) is the church, which has a large clock on its façade. Just down the street is the Panadería de Fornalutx (the local bakery), and on the road leading out of the town several restaurants.
