Rosemarkie on the beach

  • 4 of 5

The chalet is ideal for a maximum of two people. It is situated a few yards from the beach. It is convenient to walk to Chanonry Lighthouse (about 1 km) where we saw dolphins swimming and actually catching salmon. Fortrose Golf club is 5 minutes walk where excellent meals & drinks can be obtained by non members. The village of Fortrose has a well stocked Coop store. Beautiful walks especially the Fairy Glen walk with spectacular waterfalls . Inverness is about 14 miles by road. The Black Isle is a beautiful location which demands exploration.

Superb location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 1 week from 7th to 14th May and it was all we expected. The lodge had everything you needed and was perfect for spotting the dolphins and seals. We were touring Scotland and the lodge was ideal for exploring all we wanted to see. We intended to drive no more than 1 to 2 hours each day whilst we was there and the lodge was perfect for that. We did inverness Loch ness and Urquart castle, Fort William and Fort Augustus. We also did John O'Groats although this took slightly longer. The drive mostly coastal was stunning well worth it. The owners although we did,nt see them throughout our stay were contactable if needed.

a cozy lodge for dream holidays in Highlands

  • 5 of 5

Dear David and Hanako Cameron, Thank you for your kindness. Your "summer lodge" is an ideal place for a romantic trip in Highlands. The view of Rosemarkie bay since the lodge is very pleasant and we really saw and photographed dolphins ! It is also a very good place for a lot of hikes and car touring. And what a pleasure, at the end, of a cold and sunny day, to come back in our warm lodge ! For us, this first contact with your beautiful country is a success. Thank you !
