Fabulous 1st floor, 2 bedroom apartment in La Azohia, Costa Calida. Tranquil, panoramic sea views, private 56m2 roof terrace. 500m from beach, and access to a communal swimming pool. The spacious living area includes a large open plan kitchen-dining room, comfortable lounge with your entertainment, TV, satellite, DVD, HI-Fi . 2 bedrooms, 1 double and a twin bed with a travel cot for those youngsters. Outside, the roof terrace has dining furniture and a BBQ - perfect for al fresco dining on the warm Spanish evenings.

El Pinar de San Gines nestles behind lovely mature villas in the exclusive San Gines district of La Azohia on the lower slopes of the mountain, on what was pine forest. It is in an incredibly quiet & peaceful spot yet just a five minute walk through lovely residential avenues to the best part of the seafront & several restaurants. winding paths, lovely private gardens, swimming pools proving very popular with families as children can play safely.

Cabo Tinosa - The Guns: These two battery emplacements are well worth a visit, whether you have any interest in military history or not, and are a great place to take the visitors, offering stunning views, interesting architecture and fabulous great guns which make wonderful holiday photographs. There are several factors which make a trip up to 'the guns' as they are popularly called by the local population, such an enjoyable trip - the stunning scenery, the excitement of the guns themselves, and the bizarre architecture. Not for the faint-hearted with a narrow mountainous climb but it is well worth the visit.

Why Eileen Swift chose Cartagena - Mar Menor

January 1 2002 after a New Year's Eve party, my friends who live in the area 20 minutes away, took me out for a drive and a coffee to La Azohia. As we entered the bay I could feel my headache leave me and my eyes brighten, shoulders relaxed. The sun shine so brightly against the bluest sky.

It was then I saw a crane at the back of the village and asked to take a look before we left. Weeks later I had made a deposit on an off plan project. The rest they say is history.

We love it. Spain at its best. Spanish speaking and bars that sometimes open when they feel like it.

Years later La Azohia still works its Magic. Through some difficult times it is the place I head for.

What makes this apartment unique

Very very Spanish. Untouched by the builders and bulldozers of the other Costas. It remains virtually untouched. The odd bar/ restaurant has made little improvements, but that's not a bad thing. Beach bars have appeared during the summer months, and that's not a bar thing either.

Live on the solarium with a BBQ and a bottle of local, inexpensive but tasty wine, for some great views especially the fantastic sunsets.

If you are feeling stressed, overloaded with work, La Azohia will certainly recharge the batteries.

We had a fabulous holiday at your apartment. We loved the location and the weather was glorious for the whole week. We hired a car for the week and visited Mazaron and Cartagena and several other local beaches. We did take a spanish dictionary with us, and it was much needed! We loved the fact that it was a very authentic area, full of spanish culture and it made us learn some spanish and we felt very happy to stay in such a wonderful un-commercialized area. We bought bread from the local bread man who came in his van to the apartment every morning, and some fresh fruit from the local farmer who also came around in his van.

We were happy with all the equipment and utensils as they were advertised. In fact it was a bonus for us to have the use of the toys, beach chairs and the cool box. The apartment was lovely and clean when we arrived and felt very homely.

We have on sight management to deal with any problems or issues that should arise from your holiday. Please report any breakages to these people so that the apartment is ready for the next guests. Any visits thought to be unnecessary to the apartment, for example.. how do I turn on the cooking hob, will be charged €20 from their security deposit.

Ultimate ralaxation vacation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Azohia. The Mediterranean is stunningly beautiful from this little bay and the view from our patio roof was an abosolute delight. The flat was very well appointed, all of the necessities accounted for...a cozy home away from home. We fell very easily into the Spanish rhythm of, eat, sleep, repeat. Possibillities for fun and fascinating day trips were many, we particularly enjoyed the ports of Mazarron and Cartegena. One of our favorite rituals was to go down the hill to the Beach Bar, sip on G and T and watch the sun go down. We were very sad to leave and plan to return again.

De hemel op aarde in Spanje

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in La Azohia!

Het appartement heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, prachtig uitzicht vanaf het dakterras en als het daar te warm op is ben je binnen tien minuten bij de zee!

Boodschappen doen in Mazarron alwaar je de keuze hebt uit : Spar, Mercadona, Lidl, alwaar echt alles te koop is!

De kust en omgeving zijn hier prachtig en lekker rustig!

Great stay

We had a fabulous short stay in La Azohía. The apartment was just as advertised , clean and with all the necessary for a more than comfortable stay.

The contact with the owner was excellent, always prompt replies to my queries and I even received a text informing me the apartment was ready before the agreed time , a nice touch as we were already in the area and went straight there.

We loved the beach at La Azohía, take goggles or snorkelling gear especially for the kids as there are lots of fish to see. Crabbing in rock pools was fun too !

La Azohia and surrounding area.

La Azohia is cuddled by mountains and surrounded by sea. The beautiful sandy beach stretches for miles and even

in the highest season you can find a beach to yourselves.The Costa Calida is a beautiful part of Spain.

The area has a quiet village atmosphere with some local bars a mini-mart and the La Azohia 4 star hotel.

The Port of Mazarron is 10 minutes drive away, and the main shopping area is just further along about 5 minutes drive. There is a wide variety of bars, restaurants, shops, Sunday market, banks and hotels.

The town of Mazarron is 25 minutes drive away from the apartment, with Cartagena being 20 minutes away, which

also has some lovely shops. The surrounding area is very rural with mountain scenery and lots of greenery. There are small pockets of different towns, such as Fuente Alamo and La Manga for you golfers.
