DO NOT STAY HER

Cannot put in to words how dissapointed I am with this apartment and the owners. Got to the apartment on Saturday for a nights stay with my partner. When arriving was asked to pay the deposit which I did through bank transfer. I asked about how I would clean any rubbish and was told to leave it in bin bag and would be taken out to bins by owner ( which I did not do as I felt this was not right, so I took these with me when leaving ) I Was told to also put any dirty towels or bedding in bath which was done so. I Asked before leaving if there was any mop to clean floors and was again told this was the job of the owner and not too worry, i then receive a text from owners stating I would not receive my deposit back as I had left unclean towels and bed linen and the floors were not clean. I also left one mug and one glass in sink as there was no cloth to clean these with and got told this was also unnaceptable. The Owners did not turn up to get the keys and I was asked to post them through the letterbox and they would send my deposit later that day, I then received no communication with them until the following day stating I would not revive my deposit money back - I am absoloutely disgusted that someone could take a great amount of money of myself for something as petty as towels bed linen and floors which should all be cleaned after having someone staying anyway. I have been in contact with the owners all of today and been treated in a manner I would not expect from anyone, I have apologies several times for the towels as I did mark these and explained it does come out in the wash. I have had to contact home and away as these owners are wrongfully holding my hard earned money over things that do not cost to get cleaned. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want robbed of money and spoken too in such a way.

Owner's Response: These comments do not warrant the time and effort of a response as the content is not an honest account of events. We have never withheld a deposit from any guests in the past and our previous guest reviews and 5-star rating is testimony that we have always gone out of our way to ensure all our guests have a great stay. This deposit was not returned to this guest as it was required to cover the costs of damages incurred following a party held at the apartment and the subsequent soiling and staining to bedding, towels, sofa and carpets. We have provided photographic evidence of the damages incurred as well as producing receipts for the costs to rectify the damages. HomeAway have approved these receipts and our decision to withhold the deposit in this case. The person writing this review did not make the booking or pay to stay at the apartment! The deposit did not cover the full costs of the damages and the claim to have been “robbed” is highly insulting. Despite our shock and disgust at way the apartment was left we always maintained a professional and courteous manner with all communications.

Modern,spacious apartment

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The living area was really spacious with lovely decor which made us so glad we hadn't just booked a hotel room. The area was ideal for us - just a short taxi ride to the west end and to town (both would have also been walkable). Brian was a very helpful and friendly host

Lovely apartment

4 of us stayed here for 2 nights. The place was spotless and the location is ideal for Hydro. Brian was very friendly and welcoming. Lots of Wee extras and munchies and an honesty jar gratefully appreciated. Would definately stay again.

Fantastic flat close to downtown and the West end

My husband and I stayed at Brian's for seven nights at the end of August with our 5-month old son. The flat is very spacious and perfect for a family looking for all of the convinces of home within walking distance of downtown and the trendy west end. There is even a stop for the Hop On Hop Off bus down the street if you want to see multiple sites or museums in one day.

Brian and his wife were very thoughtful and went above and beyond to make things as comfortable for my son as possible. They provided a travel bed, a change pad, a bath tub and even a floor splash pad for meal time.

We will certainly stay here again the next time we are in Glasgow.
