This self catering rental is ideal for family summer and winter breaks and is located in a scenic region of Austria. The property has 3 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep eight. There is an upstairs bathroom with sauna and a downstairs shower room. The kitchen has all the expected conveniences of a modern chalet, including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. In addition to the living room, which has a television with built in DVD player, free wifi, a sun room with beautiful views over the cosy village of Stadl provides the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy your holiday to the full. The property also has a storage room which contains a heated book rack so ensuring you enjoy your skiing to the full. The chalet is part of a modern development which was built in 2007.
John and Milly Webb have owned this property since 2006. We have three children and as a family we use the property for a winter skiing break and also as a summer holiday. We're an Irish family and have spent time living and working in Poland.

The chalet is located in the breath taking Austrian province of Styria or Stieirmark. When we first visited Stadl, we fell in love with the scenery and we can never get enough of the mountains, valleys and hassle free environment. Stadl is a small rural village and the people are very friendly and down to earth. The chalet itself is ideal for our needs as it is large enough for Milly and I to have some quiet time to ourselves while cosy enough for a family to enjoy our own company and the company of friends who frequently holiday with us.
We spent a little bit of extra money on a sun room. The views from it whether it is summer or winter, with a good book and glass of wine are what holidays are all about.

Great Chalet / highly recommended
Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und nur 10 ca. Min. mit dem Auto vom nächsten Skigebiet gelegen. Die kleine Ortschaft Stadl, an deren Rand das Haus in einer kleinen Siedlung steht, bietet einen Supermarkt sowie einige Lokale, in denen man zu sehr fairen Konditionen essen gehen kann.
Zum Haus: Sehr gepflegt, die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man zur Selbstversorgung brauchen könnte. Angefangen beim Bratenwender bis hin zur Kaffeemaschine.
Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vor Ort steht ein Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung, der quasi rund um die Uhr per Handy erreichbar ist und ggf. auch schnell nach dem Rechten sehen kann. Wir hatten Schwierigkeiten mit der Bedienung des Kamins. Keine 30 Minuten nach meinem Anruf bei dem vom Vermieter angegebenen Ansprechpartner stand dieser vor der Tür und half uns.
Das Haus ist absolut empfehlenswert. Wir ziehen ernsthaft in Erwägung, auch unseren Skiurlaub 2014 dort zu verbringen.
The chalet is located in village of Stadl, which is located in the Murtal region. Excellent skiing facilities exist at the nearby Kreischberg (5 minutes drive), Turracher Hohe (20 minutes drive) and Lactel (30 minutes drive) mountains (to name just a few). There is an abundance of ski schools with multi-lingual instructors. The village of Stadl where the chalet is located has an outdoor man-made lake which during the summer acts as a swimming pool and during the winter acts as an ice skating rink. The village also has the fine Murtalhof Hotel which serves excellent local cuisine. For the more adventurous, white water rafting can be arranged at this hotel. In the nearby village of St. Lorenzen, there is an 18 hole golf course and is a good test in scenic surroundings. The pleasant town of Murau is just 10 minutes drive away. Murau boosts many fine restaurants. Further away is the town of Judenberg (c. 40 minutes) which has large shopping centers.

An additional cleaning fee of €80 + €2 per guest is payable locally for each rental. Additional cleaning can be arranged for longer stays. Rental fee must be paid 6 weeks in advance to secure a reservation. A refundable security deposit of €150 is also payable on booking. This deposit will be returned to the guest on confirmation from the chalet owner's representative that the chalet has been left in reasonable condition.
