Casa Marinella is unique for its location directly on a small bay with white sandy beach and next to a tiny marina. Marzamemi, a truly picturesque village and a typical setting for several Italian movies, lies at 700 meter. You can reach its restaurants and small shops with local products with a pleasant stroll.
The apartment is very spacious. It has three bedrooms with double beds and air conditioning, two bathrooms with bidet, shower and toilet, and a living room with open kitchen and large windows overlooking the sea. In the living room there is also a nice staircase that leads to the partially covered roof terrace equipped with garden furniture and sun loungers. The terrace offers a magnificent view over the sea and the nearby marina. Where else would you so fully enjoy the sea breeze?
Casa Marinella is an ideal place for those who want to enjoy the sea and its view without having to renounce to be within walking distance from a cute village with good restaurants. Furthermore, the presence of air-conditioning allows you to have a pleasant stay also during winter.
Marzamemi is very famous for its historical tuna industry, therefore you might like to try some tune there!
We have been with Homeaway since 2006, proposing houses that are able to unfold Sicily's colours and charm at best.
Houses with quality furnishing in unique locations, with incredible views or with a pool, always accurately selected in order to satisfy our main wish: to see you falling in love with Sicily just like we did.
We provide you with transparent information and true pictures. What you see is exactly what you get. We will advise you as much as we can about travel info, transfers and car rental.
Dinners in villas and other extra services can also be arranged. Finally, our prices are final rates! There are no hidden additional costs. We are flexible with your arrivals and departures and if you need a late check-in this is usually possible.
The home is clean and nicely decorated with beach theme. Everything you need is supplied. The deck on the roof is beautiful to watch sun rise and stretch and relax. Your own little world. The beach is small and intimate with family people coming and going all day. Very laid back atmosphere. Water is shallow and can go a long ways out and still stand so safe for kids. Lots off sea grass which is no big deal but don't expect sandy bottom and Hawaiian beach. The town is a short walk and is full of of life in the evenings with lots of restaurants to choose from.would recommend going to conads grocery store in pachino and stocking up to get food the way you want or expect it. Very nice people throughout the town and would recommend the visit. A week was a bit long for us as we wanted to see other parts of Italy and there is not a lot that is close to visit. I would recommend for those that want a little down time in secure Area with friendly people. Went to fiuma cassibile which I highly recommend for those who want a vigorous hike and great swimming.thanks again for the use of your beach house. Ciao
Very conveniently located apartment with charming features. Clean, well maintained and with many useful odds and ends (well stocked toilet paper, cleaning items, bin bags). July was v hot so the wood burning stove didn't get used, but the balcony and roof terrace are very pleasant for luncheon or evening drinks. The roof terrace is well equipped with BBQ, dining table, sun loungers, dining chairs in addition to a drying line for laundry. The air con is v satisfactory and assists comfortable sleeping and the 2 bathrooms are excellent for families / larger numbers of visitors. Stairs take you down to the beach and the outdoor tap is useful for rinsing sand from tiny feet, inflatables and fishing nets. I would stay again
Lovely apartment , difficult to find in the dark!!! Location wonderful , right on the beach in a lovely quiet area of the village. Very clean and plants of equipment , especially comfy loungers on the roof terrace. Village an easy walk and plenty of restaurants and little shops. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Sicily
We had a verk plesant stay. The Villa was well equipped, maybe could the double bed be a little softer.
There are a lot of interesting placera to visit nearby Noto, Syracuse etc.
In toppår of the house there is a big terass. The villa is virtually situated on the beach.
We were very satisfied with our stay.
The apartment has a good location, right on a small beach, short walk time to the shops and restaurants in Marzamemi. The apartment has 3 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room, full kitchen, 2 x bathrooms and a nice roof terrace., Perfect space for 6 people, even if it's bad weather. We had a wonderful time with sunshine and warmth even though it was the end of October, we are pleased to return. Many positive memories from the rental period and only one thing that was not so good, some pieces of glass on the shore witch we have to clean every time we was at the beach.
We are sure we coming back another time.
About Marzamemi: Old maritime traditions are still very much alive in Marzamemi today. Only recently it has become a popular destination for Italians who enjoy the combination of natural beaches and the vibrancy of an authentic coastal village. The village has many restaurants, pizzerias and shops selling delicious local produces such as the locally caught and processed tuna and swordfish or the famous cherry tomatoes from nearby Pachino.
- ‘Vendicari’ natural reserve
- The prehistoric caves in Pantalica
- Portopalo/Capo Passero, the most southerly tip of Sicily
- Ragusa Ibla.
The area / going around: San Lorenzo, which lies 2 kilometres to the north of Marzamemi, marks the beginning of one of the most beautiful stretches of the Sicilian coast. Here the shore is characterised by golden sand beaches, turquoise seas and white limestone rocks. San Lorenzo borders on the natural reserve of ‘Vendicari’. Here you’ll find an incredible variety of Mediterranean flora and fauna, exotic beaches and Byzantine ruins. It is also a veritable oasis of rest and tranquillity for an array of bird species.
Heading south towards the south-eastern tip of Sicily, you find a fishing village called Portopalo. Taking the road from Marzamemi to Portopalo, but turning off before an impressive castle on the sea, one can turn left and visit the old ‘Tonnara’, one of the most scenic and extraordinary sights to be seen in Sicily. Noto, a magnificent little city famous for its stunning Baroque architecture, lies 10 kilometres away. You can’t miss the traditional afternoon stroll down its main street.
