From the apartment, a few steps away you can admire all the beauties of the city: just 300 meters from the Piazza delle Erbe, meeting place of the Veronese from breakfast to the aperitif, on which stands the Lamberti Tower to which you can access From Scale of Ragione in Old Marketyard. A series of squares intersect, with the center of the Piazza dei Signori, commonly known as Piazza Dante because of the statue of the Great Poet who is there. The author of the Divine Comedy was in Verona, during exile, a guest of the Ladies of the Scala, whose graves are located just outside the square, in the so-called "Scaligero Arches". In the nearby courtyard there are also the "Scaligeri excavations", now home to the museum of photography. Nearby, 450 meters from the apartments you can visit the Cathedral and only 350 meters from the charming Church of Santa Anastasia with the famous fresco of Pisanello "San Giorgio, the princess and the dragon". Other monuments within easy walking distance are the Basilica of San Zeno (1.600 meters), the Arena with its massive tower, a summer concert venue and a rich opera calendar (650 meters), overlooking Piazza Bra and Liston swarming with tourists, while on the side of the Roman amphitheater is Via Mazzini, lined with fashionable boutiques. Walking along this commercial street, you will come to Via Cappello along which opens the courtyard of Juliet with the famous Balcony. What have we forgotten about? Among the places to be missed, there is certainly Castelvecchio and his art collection with works by Veronese, Tintoretto, Tiepolo and the great masters who represented the century of the great cultural bloom of the scaligera signoria, the fourteenth century.
