Tea, coffee, sugar and milk are provided for guests on arrival. Also a good bottle of wine and local goodies.

The lounge/diner has two large and superbly comfortable sofas, coffee table & side tables and ambient lighting, 43 inch SMART TV/DVD with Freeview, and free WiFi broadband. Local leaflets, maps, cafes, restaurants, attractions, Cathedral services & shopping guide provided.

The round dining table seats 8 comfortably and overlooks the sunny patio.

Stunning entrance hall with designer carpet and large cloakroom with feature map wallpaper.

Chapter House has three floors:

Ground floor: Entrance hall, cloakroom (WC & basin), lounge/diner and kitchen with French doors to private patio.

First floor: 1 King bedroom, 1 Twin bedroom, 1 Nursery/Study, Family bathroom.

Second floor: Massive King bedroom with double sofa-bed and en suite shower room. Views to Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Tor.

The staircase is modern and wide with good bannisters.

Excellent gastro pub with terrace 7 mins walk (The Fountain Inn) and a Budgens supermarket with petrol, PO/ATM within 200 yards. Tor Woods is 10 minutes walk; perfect for picnics and walks on to Dinder and Croscombe (The George Inn here is excellent).

Bus stops on the main Bath/Bristol route 150 yards. Public transport is excellent; a car is not necessary when you stay here.

Apart from the comfort and facilities at Chapter House, it has to be the exceptional finish together with the owner's eye for detail that makes staying here so very special.

Wells oozes grace and stunning architecture with its cafe culture, shops, pubs, restaurants and fantastic places of interest. Superb open markets Wed & Sat.

Short breaks and weekly lets available (Friday changeover preferred) year round.

Regret no pets and no smoking throughout the property.
