This cottage nestles on the side of a valley looking towards the village of Thornton the Bronte Birthplace and Thornton Viaduct part of the great Northern Railway Trail a recently developed cycle path and bridleway. Ponden Hall an Elizabethan Farmhouse with a Georgian extension situated on the Pennine Way and the glorious heather moors widely believed to be the inspiration for Thrushcross Grange in Emily Bronte s Wuthering Heights is well worth a visit. Besides general sightseeing activities available in the Bronte Country area include golf fishing and sailing as well as more adventurous pursuits in the region such as mountain biking rock climbing and horse riding. Come on in through the gate to the front door which brings you into the entrance vestibule a great place to kick off your shoes and boots and store them on the boot mat until you re ready to explore the following day. Head into the hallway with staircase to the first floor the door to the left takes you into the warm and inviting lounge with comfy sofa and arm chairs to relax and unwind after a fun filled day catch up on your favourite TV programme or watch a film. A door off the lounge takes you through to the kitchen/dining area with glorious views across the valley. The kitchen is well-equipped with gas oven and hob washing machine dish washer fridge/freezer and microwave . Enjoy a meal at the table whilst admiring the views.
