The property is in a non-isolated rural setting with dominant and uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside, within walking distance of the village of Eguilles, 15 mins northwest of Aix en Provence.

Located in a little private access road where children can play in safety, the garden of approx 600M² is fenced in all the way around.

There is parking for 3 cars, and a bus-stop less than a minute away (regular L230 bus route between Eguilles and Aix).

The lively village of Eguilles, with a generous selection of shops (bakeries, grocers, butchers, supermarkets etc), is 5 mins drive, or 15 minutes’ walk away, through peaceful roads gently leading up to this charming perched village.

The villa offers a fully equipped open plan kitchen leading to a dining room and salon, themselves connected to a spacious covered terrace with beautiful views of the countryside, garden and pool.

This covered terrace is the heart of the villa, and so everything has been made to make it enjoyable, from the choice of its exotic wood construction, to the forged iron pergola with high-tech covering and the integrated fine-spray cooling system for those very hot Provencal days.

From the terrace one can immediately enjoy the lawn, pool or mineral garden, with its selection of different pebbles and gravels, in the shade of a weeping willow, ash, maple and willow trees.

The concrete saltwater pool has a large, very shallow area, in which children and adults can relax in a few inches of refreshing water, a seating area from which to enjoy the views to the south, and several steps leading down to its 1.50m depth.

Its deepest point is 1.65m, allowing diving with due caution.

The pool is equipped with an electric pool cover which complies with the French safety rules governing swimming pools and can conveniently be opened and closed via a wireless transmitter.

For guests with very young children we can install a 1m high removable barrier as a further level of security.

For those who enjoy the pleasure of a good, long swim, without the boundaries of a pool, there is a high quality German flow current generator, enabling unlimited swimming on the spot, for fun or for exercise, and lots of fun for children young and old!

A sophisticated, energy efficient heating system provides water at a comfortable 28°C, although the sun can frequently raise it to 29°C or 30°C during hot August days.

The pool will be maintained by our personnel throughout your stay.

The villa itself was constructed to fulfil the requirements of the Eco-Friendly BBC Label (Batiment Basse Consommation) with superior insulation, to keep it cool in summer, so no air-conditioning system has been installed.

All of the windows have mesh screens (either fixed or mobile), so that windows can be left open throughout the night, allowing cool night breezes to circulate freely throughout the house, without the need to use unhealthy mosquito killing chemical products.

Each of the five bedrooms is provided with an electric fan, to help provide cool breezes and comfortable nights.

Entrance, WC with washbasin, fully equipped open plan kitchen, dining area with extendable table for 6-10 persons, lounge with 2 sofas (seating for 5-6 persons), Panasonic Flat Screen TV, Blue Ray Player, Routeur with Wifi radio.

Bedroom 01: Single bedroom with direct access to garden on north side via sliding patio doors.

Bedroom 02: Double bedroom with 1.4m x 1.9m sofa bed, en-suite shower room and direct access to covered terrace on south side.

Bedroom 03: Bedroom with 1 single bed and one bunk bed. Wifi extender.

And if ir ever rains, no problem, you know the Mistral will shoo the clouds away, and while they are here, it's a perfect occasion to visit the local vineyards, and the passion and treasures they hold in their cellars.

Provence is steeped in history, culture and gastronomie so there is always something to discover.

Aix en Provence is a vibrant university city which is full of the vibrance of youth all year round, and often voted one ot the most wonderful places to be a student.

Morning, noon and even in the middle of the night, the heart of the city is a pleasure to stroll through.
