A truly fabulous 200 yr old converted fisherman's net loft right in the heart of old St. Ives.
Approx. 50m from the sea, it is ideally situated for all the shops, restaurants, pubs, galleries and museums
[not forgetting the lovely beaches] that St Ives has to offer. There are at least 4 glorious beaches within a stone's throw - truly a beach lover/surfers paradise. Fantastic location, right in the heart of 'old St Ives', this spacious fist floor loft studio apartment, is tucked away in a lovely listed courtyard.
It is very light and airy and has recently been refurbished. Brimming with character. From granite feature walls, to the old original floorboards, it is just idyllic for those wanting original features together with modern comforts.
Rental includes gas, electricity, linen, towels and wireless broadband.

At least 4 beaches all within a couple [literally] of minutes walk - where else in the World can you have this option !
We have stayed for two weeks in the Net Loft, including a visit of our daughter and her friend. For two people, the space is luxurious but even four can manage. The crow’s nest with the double bed is charming once you have learned to watch your head. Location is perfect, in a small alley right between the harbour promenade and the main shopping street. Beaches, shops and pubs are only a few steps away, so there is no need for a car (and as in most cases in St Ives no opportunity to park one …). The historic apartment is lovingly restored – original floor boards and quarrystone walls are combined with modern furniture. For those who can resist the temptation of the restaurants (we did half of the time), there is a big, fully equipped kitchen. Even the weather was brilliant, so thank you for a great holiday.
Great - we are so pleased you had an enjoyable time in both The Net Loft and St Ives. Thanks again for your custom, and we would be proud to have you stay again in the future. Best regards, Tim & Karen
Our family of four had a blast!
Right in the heart of the village! One second we're out wandering and shopping - next second, we're back home! Especially convenient when you got a toddler needing a nap.
We were excited to sleep in this loft especially after reading the 'bedroom' upstairs. Oh, my kids loved it! I had a nap in there too. Lucky to see the stars on a clear night, thanks to the skylights! Beds were comfy and everything was clean. Had no trouble with the wifi - it was fast and reliable.
Beach activities were provided (balls, boogie boards & wind breakers, etc) -- and you'll be on the sand and water in no time!
Restaurants and cafes and of course pasties (!) were easily accessible. Seagulls were a sight to behold.
Had trouble with parking though. Car parks close by were always full, had to park about 1.5 mi away for 5Pounds/day. It's advisable not to bring a car (won't need one anyways) the next time we come.
What a great place to stay in St Ives. The Old Fisherman's Net Loft is situated in the centre next to the old charming cobbled Fore Street full of the shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, galleries… We spent our Easter holiday in the Net Loft with our kids age 7y and 5y and we all loved it, LOVED IT! The sun was shining all the time and we were bodysurfing everyday. We were spoiled for choice all the lovely beaches. The Loft is well-equipped, the kitchen is great. You can just pop out and buy freshly baked pasties or croissant or eat in many restaurants just seconds away. Our children enjoyed sleeping in the "top gallery" with a big skylight window watching the stars in the evening and seagulls in the morning. We also booked our kids for a workshop in the St Ives School of Painting. Thank you very very much to Tim & Karen for a wonderful stay in the Net Loft.
A really quirky, cosy little cottage ideal for a couple to get away and enjoy St Ives. Perfect location for pottering around the centre of St Ives.
The owners were brilliant in getting information to you and in arranging the booking and did so in a very friendly and attentive manner.
The sleeping area is very low so watch your head but we felt it added to the quirkiness and we had a decent nights sleep each night of our stay.
THANK YOU! We found out about the cottage via friends and have recommended it to other friends.
Very well positioned for town centre with all its facilities. If you love the heart of the town rather than an out of centre location this is the where you might want to be. It's clean, comfortably and tastefully furnished offering loft style accommodation. The 'sleeping gallery' requires a reasonable level of agility but has style ad character. The owners are accessible and helpful. This is certainly the place for a couple wanting a romantic break in a location which even in the middle of winter offers a good choice of places to eat and relax. Try Porthminster Beach Cafe in the evening or the Digey during the day for something quite special. Alternatively eat in - the Netloft is warm and well equipped for a relaxed meal in a very special setting.
We have been holidaying in St Ives now for many years and stayed in many different places &The Net Loft is now one of our top favourites! :o). It was so comfortable & cosy yet spacious and well equipped too. Brilliant shower that never runs out of hot water despite there being five of us going in one after another! The roof lights let lots of light in making the whole feel of the place, light, airy and happy. The kids absolutely loved climbing into the huge bed upstairs at night time and watching the seagulls flying over their window, leaving us the sofa bed downstairs which was extremely comfortable, just like a normal bed. All in all , a perfect holiday :o) plus the weather was glorious which was a real bonus too! Thanks to Tim and Karen for a wonderful stay at the Net Loft. We'll be back! Love Kathryn, Jon, Lucy, Joseph and Emma :o)
The Net Loft is a charming place for those who enjoy self catering. There is a warm ambience that makes it delightful to return to after visiting the local places of interest. Beautifully furnished and well equipped, it is home from home. I loved going up the stairs to the huge comfy bed and looking out of the skylights.
The location was perfect. Right in the heart of old St Ives near the pubs, restaurants and sea front. A short walk to two beach cafes where you can watch he sunset.
The room is cosy and warm but there is adequate heating should the day be cold.
I can't recommend this enough for a visit to this lovely seaside town.
St. Ives has a Mediterranean feel about it, with its maze of narrow streets and alleyways, crescent shaped beaches with their safe golden sands, accented by sunlight playing across the surface of an iridescent turquoise sea - all set, in the uniquely rugged granite landscape of West Penwith, with waved hewn cliff faces, prehistoric remains and the haunting ruins of the once great tin and copper mining industries, which flourished throughout the area.
The narrow, cobbled streets of St. Ives, festooned with a treasure trove of brightly coloured flower displays, beckon you to wander through them - to explore their steep slopes, and discover their hidden delights and hidden corners.
St. Ives offers the visitor everything that they could wish for in a seaside resort. From the moment that you arrive in the town you are stunned by the panoramic vistas that seem to greet you on every turn.
This is a place that truly has something for everyone. Families can spend countless hours playing.
