It sleeps 4, with an option to 5, and is elegant and spacious. Seend is set on the top of a ridge from which footpaths emanate in all directions with stunning views across the Wiltshire plain. Marlborough, Stonehenge, Avebury, Devizes, Bath, Bradford on Avon are all within easy striking distance.
The house is a pet friendly, charming 16th century former coaching Inn set across 2 floors, with a walled garden and off road parking for one or two cars. It is located in the beautiful Wiltshire village of Seend, with easy access by bus or car to Devizes, Swindon, Marlborough, Bath. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, including two doubles (one king size bed, one double bed with additional single bed), sleeping 4 to 5 guests. It has one bathroom and a ground floor cloak room.
The ground floor also includes a kitchen with pantry, a separate breakfast room, a formal dining area with open fire, a separate sitting area with log burner, and a large drawing room with log burner. There is also a boot room.
Outside, guests will also find a pleasant area to dine, and enjoy the walled garden and elegant greenhouse. The garden includes an enclosed lawned area, and well stocked flower beds. Access via ancient footpaths lead from the garden of Greenheys to the Kennet and Avon Canal to the rear and to the beautiful plains of Wiltshire to the front.
The house sleeps 4 to 5 in 2 bedrooms, with one bathroom & 2 separate WC's and benefits from beautiful countryside, log burners, a piano and a delightful rural location, whilst close to the heart of Seend.
The village of Seend benefits from a wonderful village shop selling food and papers, and the nearby Barge Inn set on the canal in Seend Cleeve.
It is a perfect place to relax with family and/or friends, for re-unions & celebrations, for a long or short break, and also for local events like the Marlborough Summer School.
Greenheys dates from the 1600's and was originally a coaching inn called The White Hart.
