About Manos Dafermos
Hello there, I am Manos, owner and manager of CreteVillas4U. I have been in the hospitality sector long before CreteVillas4U, however. I was actually born, grew up, and spent most of my life in a hotel owned by my family. So, I guess it came as no surprise when I expressed my wish to study in Rhodes’ Tourism School and, later on, when I decided to start my own business in the sector. One thing I learned growing up in a family-run hotel is that hospitality is more than hotel management, logistics and operations. It is a culture, passing down from one generation to the next. You can study to be a hotel manager but you cannot study to be hospitable. I apply this philosophy in my business as well. The rule is simple: the guests of the villas I manage are my guests. As an active traveller, I expect nothing less myself. The fourth generation of Dafermos hoteliers has already been born. I know now that my two beautiful children will probably follow my steps, like I did before them. There is a small difference though: they are smarter, more educated, better (big smile). All the best, Manos Dafermos

Fantastic retreat for a relaxing, luxurious break
I was part of a group of 15 people that recently stayed at the Dreamcatcher villa- we were delighted with our stay and our choice of villa for the week long holiday. The accommodation is fantastic- we thought that the photos looked excellent prior to making the booking, but the villa was even better in person. The villa is located in a quiet village and is surrounded by private land and olive fields, offering a lot of privacy. The outside areas are excellent and great for social interactions- soaking up some sun around the pool, or having a BBQ. The pool and surrounding areas are a real sun trap and receive sun throughout the day, but there are plenty of umbrellas and balconies for those who prefer shade. Eleni was our maid and did a fantastic job of keeping everything tidy and making breakfast for us. The breakfast is wonderful- we hadn’t paid too much attention to it when booking the villa, but it was a real highlight and we never once managed to get through all of the food that was made for us! Manos met us when we arrived to show us round and to share some raki (strong local alcohol!) and breads and cheeses. This was a lovely touch and it was very useful being able to enquire about the best places to go in town. Rethymnon is a lovely town with lots of great places to eat and drink and is a short drive from the villa. You won’t run out of lovely authentic restaurants and bars to venture into. In summary, we had an excellent holiday and I would highly recommend the Dreamcatcher villa for families or groups of couples who want to have a luxurious and relaxing break in the sun.
Fabulous house and hosts
This house is spectacular! Beautifully decorated, fully stocked kitchen, and gorgeous yard for relaxing. It's located in a quiet area, a few minutes by car from the old town in Rethymnon. As far as location goes, we're very happy we chose this area. The town of Rethymnon is beautiful, but it's also most central for exploring the island, just an hour or so from both Chania and Heraklion. What really made our stay outstanding was the welcome we received from Manos.. food and drinks, and groceries for the family. Even special touches like ensuring we had equipment for our baby were thought of! Also very responsive during our stay, and helpful with travel tips. Thank you Manos and Maria for a fabulous stay in Crete. We hope to return!
Fantastic villa, Amazing host
Just Home from a lovely stay in the Dreamcatcher villa. Everything was perfect from start to finish! We were a party of 3 adults and 7 small children. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Crete there was transport awaiting us kindly organised by our very attentive host Manos. We then made the journey to our villa where Manos himself awaited us (even tho it was late in the night) with a local spread of food and drinks (really nice touch) Manos then showed us around the AMAZING VILLA as well as giving us some info on places to see and go whilst in Crete. Manos then left us to settle in.. (not before leaving us with some gifts-thanks again Manos the kids really enjoyed that day out and the mummy's enjoyed the wine. The villa was very beautiful and spacious with modern decor with touches of Greece added in too! We were left with local breads, fruit, crisps etc as well as a stocked fridge including beers and local Raki. There was nothing that the villa didn't have. It was well equipped and even catered for the small babies having a play pen, bouncer seat, cot and even the cutest little night light. (I would suggest maybe adding in a high chair tho) The pool side was lovely and had the added bonus of a kids pool and play area. Our kids didn't want to leave. Over all we had a lovely relaxing time at the Dreamcatcher villa and were happy to stay about it all day and just venture out in the we will return again. Beautiful, luxurious, well looked after and with an amazing host who was on hand throughout our whole stay to accommodate us with whatever we needed and even checked in with a little msg to see how we were enjoying our stay and if he could do anything more for us.. and of course organised our transport back to the airport but not before coming to see us (with a box of buns) to say good bye! Highly recommended villa
