- The apartment you have on bouloi st. where we stayed in early June,07, was unforgettable. located in the premier rendissement we were free to walk into thehistorical international museums easily and in safety. the bouloi apartment was exceptionally clean with quaint windows which can be opened to the street and courtyard. the breeze was clean and without bugs and wooed us to sleep at night. the kitchen is cozy with everything you need to have those midnight snacks, cheese, crackers, bread, pastries, orange juice kept cold in the frig. there was room for us to carry on urgent business in the dining room at thetable, with a CD player near for us to play classical CD. there is a TV and landphones. Most of all it is a cozy apartment and we were delighted. Sharon and Jack, Houston Texas.
- Your apartment was much more than I expected. It is airy and light, spacious and homey, a home away from home, with a Parisian flair. I loved the neighborhood and its location. Kate, Pacifica,Ca
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a last minute trip to Paris. It was spacious and very comfortable. The place is very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The location can't be beat! Within blocks of the Lourve, train from the airport and bus around town. The beautiful spiral stairs to the apartment can be a challenge and would not be for anyone with a disability but we managed just fine. The owner was very good about communication and we would definitely stay here again! Everything just as described.
We stayed here as a couple. This was our first time in Paris and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is really lovely. A real Parisian apartment. It was spotless, very homey, and has a nice, welcoming smell. The location is also excellent - just a few blocks away from the Louvre (it was the first place we visited upon arriving), several restaurants and cafes nearby, near train stations, and near a big shopping mall.
The only drawback is that there is no elevator so it would be a struggle to go up for those carrying heavy luggages. As for us, we really didn't mind going up several flight of stairs (it was a welcome exercise from all the eating).
Would love to stay here again.
Apartment is very cosy, spacious, light with a lot of such nice things like photos, paintings, books, with flowers that makes you feel like at home and not just in the property for temporary rental.
Bed is big and very comfortable. Street is quiet even during working days so you can sleep with open windows.
Kitchen has appliances and utensil that you may need if you prefer to cook and not to go to the restaurant (which there are a lot of nearby).
Les Halles (hub with metro and several RER lines) is around 500m from house. You can get here directly from Charle de Gaulle airport which is very convenient.
Basia was very responsive answering our mails and helpful when we were at the place.
We recommend this apartment to everyone who is looking not just a space for a sleep but who value and want to feel parisian atmosphere.
And we hope we'll have a chance to come to Paris and stay here again.
Our family of 4 stayed in the apartment for 5 nights at the end of June. It was great! There was plenty of room, the beds were great, had all the conveniences we wanted. The street was quiet, but near lots of shops, restaurants, tourist spots etc. No problem with noise sleeping with the windows open. There was a written guide to the house and neighborhood waiting for us on the dining table, along with maps. While making the reservations, Basia was very clear and quick to respond, very professional. There was going to be construction going on around the building during our stay, which she warned us about prior to taking our reservation and gave an accurate description of so that we could make an informed decision. (It was not a problem!). There are 85 steps up to the apartment (my kids counted every day!), but they are wide and shallow, with frequent landings, so it was not a problem even for this overweight 52 year old.
We stayed in 2 other apartments during our trip to Europe, and this was by far the best. It really felt like home, and we felt like we were living in Paris, visiting a friend, than staying there in an impersonal space. This was exactly what we wanted, and we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to friends, or to stay there again.
The apartment is everything promised by the website. It is airy, clean and inviting. The appliances and wifi functioned perfectly, and the king size bed was a luxury. Although very hot, reaching 30°C, the apartment remained cool and while without an elevator, we were quickly accustomed to the ascent. We have rented several different Paris apartments over the years and this was by far the easiest check in and departure. Customer service was excellent. Near by restaurants were good or excellent. We would highly recommend this property to friends.
The location of Basia's apartment in the 1st Arrondissement is pretty close to perfect - close to a street full of great restaurants & bakeries and just a short walk from the Louvre. The apartment is charming and clean with comfortable beds and a bright dining area, and it had plenty of space for the three of us. It's on the fourth floor of an historic building, so there are winding stairs to walk up, but they were never a problem (though this would not be a good rental for anyone with true mobility issues). We were in Paris during a heat wave, and while there's no air conditioning, the building stayed quite comfortable, and we only used the fan one night. There was some work being done to clean the building's exterior while we were there, which resulted in some daytime noise. We appreciated that Basia contacted us about this ahead of time and offered a small discount, given the situation. Communication was excellent, and we'd return to this apartment in a heartbeat if we were to plan another trip.
