We have just got back from a wonderful stay at this house over the August bank holiday with 3 adults and 3 children ranging in age from 4 to 15. The house is beautifully and brightly decorated and is very well equipped. The kitchen/dining/sml sitting area were great for our party of 6, the bath and shower room were lovely with great showers and having the bbq and outside space were just fantastic. Communication with Raz and Pip was great and they were super helpful. Parking was on the street outside which at busy times could be a bit tricky but generally it wasn’t a problem at all and you can park on surrounding streets. Can’t recommend this house highly enough and would definitely book again, thank you Raz and Pip.
Thanks Samantha, so glad you all had a good time.
A true home from home property.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay in Salvora. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed. We’ve stayed many times in Salcombe and this is definitely a property to return too. It was so lovely after a day out to chill in the garden ( which was very dog friendly). Only 10 min from town and 5 min from the local Spar. A true home from home.
Thanks for the lovely review Karen and we're glad you had a good week.
Great family home
Great time had by all .😊
Lovely Salcombe house
Immaculate house with everything you need for a week away ... 10 minute walk to the lovely town of Salcombe also handy to have a SPAR shop less than a minute away. Totally enclosed garden and a sun trap ! Lovely part of the world and really enjoyed our stay ..
Amazing house located in paradise
My young family and I love Salvora. Have stayed there 2 years in late June / early July. And we’ll be back!
Beautiful property, stunningly refurbished, in (in my view) the most beautiful place in the UK. Garden a real plus point and open plan kitchen / dining area opening onto it. And the welcome bottle of bubbly and biscuits on arrival are a real treat! I simply can’t recommend this house enough.
Pippa, the owner, is just so lovely to deal with too. Incredibly friendly and accommodating. She goes out of her way to help.
Things to note in case they’re important to you:
- There is no off road / allocated parking. We parked on the road but sometimes had to park a distance away.
- The walk to the house from Salcombe is steep. But this applies to all of Salcombe and the surrounding area. Certainly not unique to this property.
- The third bedroom is smallish. Two lovely bunk beds, perfect for kids, but I guess bigger kids / adults might find it cosy.
Certainly not issues for us but thought this information might help others choose the right property.
My best tips for things to do:
- North Sands beach and the Winking Prawn (great for food throughout the day)
- Ferry fron Salcombe across the East Portsmouth beach
- Bigbury-on-Sea and Burgh Island
- South Sands beach and dinner at the stunning hotel
- Trip to Greenacres (boat from Dartmouth)
- so much more...
This house is in a great location for exploring Salcombe. We loved the house it had everything we needed and would definatly stay here again. Very comfy beds & beautifully decorated, the back room was so comfy we didn’t even use the front room. Thanks for a great stay in your wonderful house.
Thanks for the lovey review and so glad you had a good stay. Please do come back anytime!
