This charming, spacious, light-filled apartment on Rue Beaumarchais was the perfect place for my husband and I and our daughter and granddaughter. It was in the back of the building overlooking a quiet courtyard with lots of pleasant greenery and flower pots tended lovingly by Mme André. She met us when we arrived and kindly helped us settle into the apartment.
We enjoyed the quirky decor and great location. It is only a block from the Bastille Metro station for easy access to all of Paris. There are some good restaurants nearby and a great boulangerie on the corner. There are two decent supermarkets within just a couple of blocks. There's some nice shopping within a few blocks of the apartment and a market two mornings a week near the Bastille metro. It was a great place to come home to in the evening after spending the day sightseeing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.
Great location, lovely apartment
This apartment was just perfect for us. The neighborhood has everything we needed and more. The two of us found the apartment comfortable and well-equipped, Madame Andres was helpful and Maria Pia checked in to see if we were satisfied which, of course, we were. I would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Paris.
Unusual flat in a wonderful location
Easy to feel comfortable in this charming flat. Having a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine etc were most convenient.
Spacious apartment in great location
Many hosts advertise their apartments as "roomy" enough to accommodate 4 people. This is the first time we've experienced one that lives up to the ad. Spacious, comfortable, bright and in a very convenient location for sightseeing and shopping in Paris. Excellent communications before and during our stay. We hope to be able to stay again on our next visit. Thank you for your hospitality.
Perfect for us!
We loved staying in this apartment for the month of May and would not hesitate to rent it again when in Paris. The on-site services by the resident Superintendent (Mme. Andre) were efficient, friendly & seemingly always present. The communication with the apartment owner was similarly friendly and responsive. The apartment location could not be better, with walkable access to both the Marais and the lively 11th arrondissement and only steps away from the major Metro lines needed to get to other areas of the city. The great bakery and wine store that were right next door made the essentials easy gotten & there are several supermarkets within a two block radius. We loved it! Thank you.
Hope to return
We loved the apartment. We have been coming to Paris for 6 weeks for over 20 years and have been staying in this neighborhood on Blvd Beaumarchais near the Place d Bastille each time. It is a terrific area, great chocolatier a block away (Josephine Vanier on Pas de la Mule, possibly the best market in Paris on Richard Lenoir Thursdays and Sundays, great backerys, a great wine on the corner and Bus 29, 91 and Metros 1,5 and 8 a few feet from the door.
The apartment was terrific. Madam Andre, the concierge, was extremely helpful and very nice. Speaks only French but our poor French was enough to communicate. The apartment is on the third floor, with an elevator. All the things you would like in an apartment were there. The bed was comfortable with a good mattress, the kitchen was well equipped with dishwasher, coffee maker, lots of good quality knives and cutlery, dishes, glasses, etc. Washing machine was good. The place is light and comfortable with couches, chairs, nice workspace. Excellent internet and phone. TV was good. Nice pictures on the wall and decorated in a pleasant contemporary vein. The toilets and showers worked well with plenty of hot water. All in all great, great location, great support, great decoration, and very quiet. We hope to return.
