Delightful detached villa set in the hills above Torrox Pueblo. Fantastic views to the sea and mountains. Set on two levels with private pool, table tennis, air con and 10mg wifi.

It is surrounded by olive trees and the rolling foothills of the Sierra de Tejeda, with spectacular views from the terrace to the South and West of both hills and sea. It is just a short drive (15 minutes) to the 'pueblo blanco' of Torrox, which itself is 2km from the beach and all the facilities of 'La Costa' which is only 10 mins from Nerja and Frigiliana. The villa is split over 2 levels and would suit two small families or a family with older children. The villa is accessed via it's own private gated drive providing room for two cars. The upper part of the villa has one double bedroom with patio doors leading on to a terrace, modern shower room, large lounge inc gas fire, fully equipped kitchen inc. washing machine , air con,10 mg wifi, private pool, 3 surrounding terraces offering stunning panoramic views, hammock, table tennis table and outside barbecue area. The lower part of the villa (connected by an external staircase) offers two double bedrooms one with en suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower, large lounge and dining area with log burning stove, patio doors on to terrace, large fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, 10 mg wifi, air con and shaded terrace. The property is surrounded by gardens and numerous seating/dining areas.

Elegantly furnished rooms complement the modern Spanish villa. The large terraces surrounding the private swimming pool provide ample space for lounging on the hammock, private sun bathing, table tennis with a shaded area for eating or just escaping the heat of the sun and enjoying the wonderful sunsets. The terrace leads up to a landscaped garden and a plot of approximately 1000 m2. It is located in the hills between Torrox and Competa.

Torrox Pueblo only 10 mins by car offers a fantastic square with numerous restaurants, including La Casa, one of the top restaurants in the area.

A place to relax where you are awoken by birdsong or simply by the unusual quiet in the morning!

Moreover the beautiful weather. The Costa del Sol is the coast of the sun, where the sun shines 320 days per year! Torrox advertises the "best climate in Europe '(' mejor clima de europa ') - and rightly so! By the protecting Sierra Tejada Mountains, the temperature rarely rises in summer above 30 degrees, and the winter is very mild.

The popular and vibrant seaside resorts of Nerja, Torrox Costa and Torre del Mar are only 15 mins away by car. All have beautiful beaches, bars, restaurants and nightlife.

Villa Jacaranda is situated in a quiet, idyllic, rural location set on 2000 m2 of its own land with very few nearby properties. It is approached by a typical Spanish hillside country road, winding for 1.5km (approximately 5 mins) from the main road.

The villa, outdoor terraced areas and the pool are cleaned once a week. Bed linen and towels are changed every 7 day by a very reliable housekeeper.

Arrival and departure:

Arrival / departure days Saturday or Sunday. Other days of the week are possible subject to availability.

The journey by car from Malaga airport is simple and well signposted. Follow the coastal highway A7 for about 45km towards Almería / Motril until exit Torrox / Competa. Follow signs for Torrox and then past the BP garage up the winding road towards Competa, winding for approx 5Km. From here follow a country road for approximately 1.5 km to the villa. We will send you detailed directions.

Long term rentals:

We rent in the winter (November to March) for terms of 1-3 months. The opportunity to escape the winter and to spend Christmas with palm trees!

Many Andalucian attractions are accessible by half day or day trip, including;

NERJA a picturesque and popular town by the sea. It is about 15 minutes drive away from your holiday home. Family orientated resort, beautiful beaches and festivals - a lot going on.

Try not miss to the impressive limestone caves at Nerja (Cueva de Nerja). Giant stalactites and stalagmites!

GRANADA can be reached in about 70 minutes on the modern A7 highway.

The World Heritage Site of Alhambra, can be visited in a day and offers palaces, museums, monuments and serenity.

If you still have some time left, we recommend a short trip in the direction of Sierra Nevada, beautiful forest road, magnificent mountains. Great roadside restaurants. In the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada winter sports can be enjoyed from November to March.

MALAGA - a vibrant city with splendid harbor promenade and beautiful old town. Here especially recommended is the Cathedral, Basilica de la Encarnación, built in the 16th Century.

The Pablo Picasso Museum is housed centrally at the Palacio de Buenavista, which is near to the birthplace of the artist. The museum displays more than 200 works by Picasso, many of his early period as a painter.

The Alcazaba of Málaga is a Moorish fortress from the 11th Century. It is picturesquely laid out above a Roman amphitheater - a sight!

COMPETA - is about 10 km away. A beautiful, authentic village built in the typical Andalusian style. White houses, built close to each other, narrow streets with beautiful colorful flower pots. Here you can visit the beautiful church and then comfortably eat tapas and drink wine at Perico the buzz in the marketplace.

FRIGILIANA is located approximately 13 km away. The white village was repeatedly awarded "Most beautiful village of Andalusia". The village is beautiful following the contour of the slopes.

Shops:

In the nearby coastal villages of Torrox and Nerja there are many large supermarkets.

The shopping center El Ingenio (approx 20 km towards Velez-Malaga) offers a variety of shops. Especially recommended is the supermarket Eroski for its variety of fish.

You can get the best meat for the barbecue at Super Sol in Torrox Costa.

Fresh fruit and vegetables can be found at the weekly market in Torrox Pueblo.

The villa is an ideal 'get away' yet close to the beaches and resorts of Costa Del Sol.

                                                                Stayed in the upper level part of the villa in October. Equipped with all you needed to be self sufficient.

                                                                Multiple aspects outside areas to enjoy. Comfortable inside living space with all mod cons (internet & UK TV/radio if you want it).

                                                                It was the perfect, relaxing getaway!

                                                                My husband, myself and our 3 children (6,3 and 7 months) stayed in villa jacaranda during the last week of August! We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place away from it all and this villa was EXACTLY that! We stayed on the top half of the villa which has the pool, BBQ, bedroom and living space with sofa bed, bathroom and little kitchen. The older kids loved being in the perfectly sized pool all day with the inflatables provided, and the little one enjoyed crawling about in the outside space which is clean and safe for little ones who tend to put everything in their mouths! The villa has big bars on the glass doors in the bedroom and living room which is great to make sure little ones don't escape and end up in the pool unsupervised! We lay in the sun all day on the sun loungers provided and just enjoyed the scenery and peace! We went for a walk around the villa and came across lots of different fruit trees which the children enjoyed picking! Andy was great at communicating both before we arrived and throughout our stay reminding us of Steve the pool man coming round to clean the pool and just making sure we had everything we needed.

                                                                The villa is quite easy to get to from the airport and is very handy to the motorway which gets u around Malaga, shops are close enough but we only ventured out twice and spent most of the time in the villa. The drive up the mountains to the villa was a bit scary the first time round seen as there are no street lights at night (we arrived at night) I wouldn't suggest trying to drive up there for the first time in the pitch black but once you see the road it's much easier and probably safer and u have an amazing scenery going up! The villa is pretty complete with everything you'll need during your stay with the added bonus of both air condition which we used at night while we were there and a log fire outside which we used once (mainly for marshmallow purposes)!

                                                                I would recommend this villa to anyone (all ages) who wants a relaxing week away from the stress of every day life!

                                                                A great villa in a fantastic location with a lovely pool and views

                                                                My wife, my daughter (15) and I stayed at Villa Jacaranda from 3-17 August 2017. The villa is at 400m in the hills just beyond Torrox Pueblo and only 20-25 minutes to get to the local beaches. Torrox Pueblo takes about 15 mins to reach and has a lovely friendly town square, cafes, banks, small shops, bakery, patisserie and most things you want. Torrox Costa is about another 10 minutes and has bigger supermarkets. We used Mercadona which was recommended by Andy and Carol, the villa owners, and a good choice.

                                                                The villa is easy to get to from Malaga airport and has everything you need including air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, fridges and sleeping for 8. It is split on two levels and with only an external staircase is well suited for two families sharing or a larger family with teenage / older children who want their own space. The three of us all stayed in the upper part of the villa. Both parts have their own kitchen including cookers and fridges, pots, pans, cutlery and Andy & Carol have made sure you have all you need. We were generously greeted with some wine, beers and water in the fridge. Both levels also have their own living spaces and bathrooms although the lower bedrooms are both doubles and whilst separate they are essentially one space. Wifi was excellent.

                                                                We were the first people to stay since the new owners have taken over and they are clearly still doing a lot of work to bring the villa up to a very high standard but we were very happy with the facilities, space and support we had for our stay. A couple of early minor problems were immediately dealt with by Andy who responded to texts very quickly and, on one occasion, phoned to talk me through things and make sure we were happy.

                                                                The pool was cleaned each Tuesday but is beautiful, clean and clear and linen was changed after the first week of our stay with thoughtful and courteous reminders by text in advance.

                                                                The gardens are large and with the ongoing care they are now clearly getting could be a delightful feature.

                                                                Outside there were inflatables provided for the swimming pool along with sun loungers, dining table, parasols and a lovely seating area to the side of the property with shade. The pool is more of a plunge pool but was perfect for us, and we were able to dip in during the heat of the day and splash lazily. Young children would need careful supervision.

                                                                Very happily recommend this lovely villa. Andy & Carol were always helpful - we had a fabulous stay.

                                                                Beautiful sunny mediterranean villa!

                                                                We really liked this mediterranean villa, which is well situated in the mountains not far from the beach. The place gives a sense of freedom and quietness, and is yet only 15 minutes driving to Torrox village. It actually consists of two separate appartments, each fully equipped and with comfortable living- and bedrooms. It is especially suitable for two couples or a family with grown-up children, like us, with enough privacy for each. The stairs outside are the only connection. The great terraces all around provide at any time suitable places to relax, in the sun or in the shadow, windy or quiet. We also enjoyed playing ping-pong there.
