Three new stone-built barn conversions in a rural setting, each cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 8 (plus sofa bed in the second public room). There is a video on our own website www.williamscraigholidaycottages.com Two of the rooms have king size beds (master en suite) and the third is a twin room. Wood burning stove in the living area, badger cam so you can see our badgers, high ceilings. All the Cottages has a bubbling Jacuzzi hot tub for you and your family/friends to enjoy. . There is free WiFi and a shared playing field and swing park.

If Rose Cottage is full please look at Honeysuckle or Appletree. The layout is the same in all 3.

Special deals on the golf course next door and at Bowden Springs Fishery. Jet ski trips on the nearby River Forth can be booked. Craigie's Farm, Sainsbury and Tesco will deliver food. Good rail links to Falkirk, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow from Linlithgow station. Easy access to many local tourist attractions in central Scotland, e.g., Linlithgow Palace, Bo'ness Steam Railway, Falkirk Wheel and shopping centres such as Livingston, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Beautiful walks in the area in the Bathgate Hills, Beecraigs Country Park, along the Union Canal or around Linlithgow Loch. Linlithgow itself has many cafes, bars, restaurants and takeaways. There is a farmers' market at the Cross every month.

About Findlay Erskine

Rose and Findlay Erskine came to Williamscraig, in 1999, and moved into one of the old farm cottages, which we renovated over a six month period. We didn’t have much money, so decided to do the work our self’s, and worked every night, and every weekend to get it back into a condition it could be lived in. We then renovated one of the farm buildings then moved into it and rented out the cottage, slowly started to convert all the farm buildings into the accommodation your are staying in today. The first three cottages (Rose Honeysuckle, and Appletree cottages) were built in 2010 , and the second development where built in 2014 (Laurel, Beech and Eden cottages) which was an eco build, with a ground source heat pump, 10 Kw’s of solar panels, wood fibre insulation, and a clay block construction.

Why Findlay Erskine chose West Lothian

The Cottages look really old as there built using stone and slate roofs with cast iron gutters, but are new inside with the latest insulation standards which make them very warm. We have a new swing park outside to keep the kids of the screens. There are lots of things to do for all ages and will keep any group occupied for weeks, including Edinburgh on our door step, the Scottish mountains, the sea side, and some great visits.

My husband and I, from Australia, stayed at Honeysuckle cottage for four nights. It was very well appointed and luxurious. Findlay was very helpful and friendly. Linlithgow is a lovely town and a great place to stay. Very central to Edinburgh and lots of other other sights. We bought a Scotland Castle pass and made good use of it. We celebrated our 37 wedding anniversary there and the cottage and the town made it very special. Fantastic place and we would love to come back some time. Thanks Findley :-)

Williamscraig Holiday Cottages are new barn conversions with wood burning stoves, king size beds, badger cam so you can see our badgers, high ceilings, golf course and fishery next door. All the Cottages have their own secluded hot tub. Edinburgh 18 miles away. Many good tourist attractions locally, good pubs and restaurants in the town of Linlithgow. Horses and chickens on the farm, great walks, very quiet and peaceful. Stirling and the Trossachs 20 miles away.
