Bimilenar city, monumental and religious, ornamented with beautiful gardens that incorporate the largest urban pedestrian zone of Europe. It is obligatory to cross its colorful and quiet streets, to visit the treasure of the Cathedral and to follow the tourist itinerary of museums and rich urban architecture, with records of the various civilizational periods. The gastronomy is irresistible and the offer of high quality and very diversified. It can be very economical and yet very good.
The religious tiangulo, Shrine of Sameiro; Sanctuary of Santa Marta and especially the sanctuary of Bom Jesus, world heritage, is obligatory. On the way you can experience the ascent in the water-powered elevator that takes you to the beautiful and romantic gardens of Bom Jesus. On arrival, under the organized set of wisteria pergolas, you can relax with a refreshing drink, or go to the belvedere to see the famous view of "Braga by a straw". The descent, if you still have a lot of energy, in an hour's walk along the Roman pedestrian path, you can go home, and there, take a refreshing dip and see the photographs you took of the most enchanting sights you can enjoy or, from the reflection of the centuries-old trees in the waters of the lake where he went to row.
In the beginning the offer is attractive. Póvoa de Lanhoso is a land of goldsmithing, but it is in the jewelers of Braga that we find the most beautiful pieces. If you prefer the outlet save a day to the zone of the sea coast and start for Vila do Conde. At attractive prices, you can make good purchases of any type of item: luxury, light or sport. Go back through Esposende, have lunch at Pé in Rio and from this esplanade, watch the spectacle of water sports that fill the sky and the river with energy and color.
In the opposite direction to the sea, do not let enjoy the extraordinary environment of Gerês, to descend to the fresh waters of its lagoons and bathe in this natural paradise, built by God to reward us. Then bring a little girl with water and everything else you need to have a picnic. The blanket and the basket we get.
Save time to enjoy Quinta da Capela with tranquility.
Swimming pool is compulsory daily. Early in the morning it's time to put on some breeches and slippers and go to D. Elsa to buy the bread for breakfast. There is free Wi-Fi.
so take the time to get in touch with your contacts.
For those who like hiking, you can prepare a picnic lunch and go to the East River spring, which is an hour from home. In this area there is a picnic park, where cyclists (btt), motorcyclists and others, more or less radical, like to stop to rest and refuel. The source of a river is an interesting curiosity that children always tell the teacher on the first day of classes.
For adults there are three sofas, where after a swim in the pool, they can do their holiday readings. No work, these days.
By the late it is wonderful to continue living in the pool garden. Let yourself stay there, on a deckchair until you see the sunset, and do not forget to rehearse some good photographs to remember later.
Meanwhile the kids can kick the ball, hit a ball, play ping-pong, or even make a triangle of these three modes.
Observe the variety of birds that reside in these trees, photograph them and show them to the children. Teach them to identify them also by the sounds they emit. Make a photographic herbarium with the species of the farm, Make a treasure hunt. Go to the parish board to see where the chapel story is written. Accompany them through the farm looking for pine cones and firewood to make the barbecue.
