This is a two bedroom apartment- one twin, and one double-with fully equipped kitchen. there is a main bathroom with separate show and bath, also there is a guest toilet and sink. Directly overlooking the marina. Easy access from the central courtyard with spectacular views to Los Gigantes Cliffs. The apartment has two terraces one directly overlooking the harbour and the other is on the back of the apartment. We have TV with ITV, BBC 1 and BBC 2. If you like to people watch this is the place to be relaxing and romantic.
Being on the marina there are boat trips daily also there is diving and para sailing. The beach is at the back of the complex and across the road is the lido which has a rock pool which you can swim with the fish.
Location perfect, apartment clean and well equipped. Lots of places to eat and drink. Thank you for arranging airport transfers, a wonderful restful holiday.
Our second stay at this lovely apartment right on the marina at Los Gigantes and you had to tear us away! Position is perfect and provides a stunning vista at all times of the day - lovely dawns with sea mist enveloping the colossal cliffs and wonderful sunsets over La Gomera. Breakfast on the balcony was always a great start to the day, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the marina and the ability to wander over the road to the adjacent lido with its plentiful sun loungers (no dawn starts required to put your towel down here!!) makes life so relaxing. If you are adventurous, we would recommend hiring a small boat from the marina to pop out along the cliffs for a spot of personal dolphin watching but having said that we saw some from our sun loungers in the lido too - along with a bonus osprey! One of the best things about the apartment is that the location is quiet enough as not to be disturbed by Europop from nearby bars but close enough to more restaurants and bars than you can shake a stick at. Highlights on the food front were the Fishermans Inn near La Arena and the small pizzeria adjacent to the Barcelo Santiago Hotel, both of which are only a short, pleasant walk from Los Gigantes. Couple of great bars that we would recommend are Route 66 (next to the pizzeria) and a new little beach bar just down the hill from the Fisherman's Inn. This was our first visit back for a few years and the apartment is still just as lovely a place to spend a week (or longer!); spotlessly clean, spacious and with everything that you could want for your time in Los Gigantes. Linda and Tony are great hosts, very welcoming and always very helpful with tips and advice. We will not be waiting as long for our next visit! Thank you Linda and Tony.
First off, this is a lovely apartment with all you could wish for. It is well equipped and very comfortable and is suitable for a family of four or two couples which is how we were. Having one and a half bathrooms is a great advantage.
The balcony looks out directly on the marina and there is always something going throughout the day. In the evening it is quiet and peaceful so there is no fear of interrupted sleep.
There are restaurants, bars and shops within an easy stroll and a very good Lidl a short and cheap taxi ride away. The cliff walk to Santiago offers stunning views and the bus to San Juan for the Wednesday market takes about half and hour.
Although the balcony doesn't get full sunlight till the afternoon the views on to the cliffs with the changing light were spectacular and for the sun worshippers the neighbouring lidos are ideal.
Linda and Tony were great hosts and did everything to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. They arranged our airport transfer and were there to meet us at the apartment when we arrived. These personal touches and the information and advice they offered were very welcome.
This is a very nice apartment, well fitted out, roomy and comfortable (and great value), but the best thing about it is the location, right on the harbour front looking out over the spectacular cliffs. It has a lovely balcony to sit and relax and enjoy the views. Very handy being so close to restaurants, cafes and shops - and the boats for whale watching etc. We would also recommend Los Gigantes as a bustling tourist town, but not too noisy or boisterous. Great for families. Dolphin and pilot whale watching trips brilliant, as was snorkelling with turtles up the coast with the diving school. Lovely holiday - thank you...
From start to finish this apartment was fabulous, from booking to leaving. The owners were so helpful and accommodating with regards to providing equipment for me as I had a 1yr old baby, and as they are not geared up for infants they went out of their way to get a baby cot and high chair for me. The apartment itself is in a fabulous and very attractive complex right on the marina, with absolutely stunning views of the cliffs and the hustle and bustle of the marina makes for pleasant people watching day and eve. All your needs are met within the apartment, a fantastic kitchen with all you need to cook your own meals, a large fridge and freezer for big shops from the new cheap Lidl just a short walk out of town. Beds are very comfy, and the added bonus of fans were a welcome blessing during some of the hotter days. The apartment has a lovely terrace area at the front entrance, with a table and chairs, so you can catch or escape the sun throughout the day, depending on your needs. The washing machine was super, and clothes dry within hours on the airer on the back terrace. Los Gigantes itself is a pleasant quiet little resort, in fact when we arrived it was almost deserted, we counted 6 people at the large public lido pool on our first day. The beach is only minutes away, and it is super, very pretty and perfect for swimming, but very very hot sand - so take care! The lido just across the street is idyllic, and great for children due to its sloping nature. Also, we spent quite a few days at Tipsy Terrace pool, slightly cheaper than the Lido, with added bonus of cool grass, music, and shade if needed. We ate in mostly, however, there is a very nice tapas place on the little walkway down to the beach, amongst others. We also ate at The restaurant just below the apartment to the left on the corner (forget name) . ...sardines, patatas arrigadas and salad for 7.50...delicious! I had coffee and croissant most mornings in the the little bakers just on corner of Green corner pub...called Melo Diaz....cortado coffee only 1 euro, delicious cakes, super snacks...very cheap! Also, just up the road towards the bus stop there is a cake shop/pattiserie (spanish owned) called Bamboo (past Bamboo bar)....the cakes are absolutely delicious, and really worth a visit....yummy! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tony & Linda's super apartment, and if I am ever returning to Tenerife, I would stay here again without a second thought. Linda, I hope you are feeling tip top again!x
Our second visit here and it was just as enjoyable as the first. Having Tony and Linda living so close is a real help as we found to our advantage when we had a little medical problem on a Sunday. There were only two days (out of 18) that we did not eat all our meals (including breakfast) on the balcony. And you are as close to the harbour as the photographs show. I could lob the stale bread into the harbour to feed the very large fish waiting there.
Plenty to do but we would recommend a trip to Masca. Early on a Sunday morning if you have a car. You'll have the place to yourself. Also do visit the Pyramids at Guima. The work Thor Heyerdhal (of Kon Tiki fame) has done there is fascinating. Last but by no means least. Take a day trip to the island of La Gomera. It cost us 53 Euro each but for that we were driven to the ferry at Los Christanos, had an 80 minute ferry crossing (each way) giving us plenty of time to see dolphin and whale and then had a guided tour of the island with a three course meal including water and wine. Exceptional value.
The apt is on the marina facing the highest cliffs of Los Gigantes. We have in playa arena a blue flag beach and plenty of restaurants and tourist shops.
