Your stay at 4 will give you the opportunity to enjoy a contemporary lifestyle in a unique architecture of the 15th century.
We like to share our taste for the refinement and detail inherited from the fashion professions that we dedicated ourselves before this new adventure.
We fell in love with this exceptional house located in a small quiet street near the lovely square of the town hall in the heart of the medieval village of Montcuq, a must stop on the way to St James of Compostella, and made famous by the small screen .
We decided to open our Guest House at the end of 2009. We wanted this place at once, sophisticated and friendly. It is certainly the marriage of the contemporary and the ancient stone that brings warmth and comfort to Maison d'Hôtes.
As soon as one enters the house a scent of fig tree envelops you. The reception hall with its smooth concrete floor, large raw stone wall and antique furniture and design set the tone of the whole of this house
The stone staircase leads to the Patio. It is in the shade of the olive trees that Claude cultivates a small kitchen garden of aromatic herbs for his kitchen. Still a few steps to access the reception room in the heart of the house where dinners and breakfasts are served on the large ebony-colored wooden table.
In this comfortable and relaxing space, in front of the imposing medieval fireplace in the large sofa with feather cushions, in the winter by the fireplace you can taste country wines or herbal teas with fresh herbs from the garden.
The linen has been selected with the utmost care. Such as the linen linen aged in shades of sands or gray colors of which are adorned the great beds with the absolute comfort, the large white curtains and the fluffy and perfumed terry towels stacked in the bathrooms.
It is like a small house.
It is reached by a balcony overlooking the Patio. Behind the large open window door of the white linen curtains keep the cool and dim light. The atmosphere is sweet and warm. Some ancient remains are very nicely integrated into the decor. Stone steps lead down to the pretty bathroom paved with old tomettes.
