Plenty of room, very comfortable and very clean.
Well equipped kitchen and secure garden. Would definitely recommend for walkers with or without a dog.
Excellent family holiday
We had a lovely week in Stone Cottage - it was very clean, well appointed and spacious. The village was quite and peaceful but had a decent pub and a great little cafe in the church hall. Excellent walking from the village and we cycled the Manifold and Tissington trails with our boys. Great holiday.
Lovely week in Wetton
What a lovely place Wetton is and such a special cottage to spend time in. Very cosey and warm and conveniently situated for lovely scenic country and views across the peaks. Also very close (easy ambling distance) to the local pub (Royal Oak) which has a great selection of beers and good pub food. Highly reccommended. We will hope to stay there again when visiting the area. Thank you Mike for a wonderful holiday.

Perfect weekend break.
We really enjoyed our second stay at Stone Cottage. With this being a returning visit we knew exactly what to expect and it surpassed those expectations with all the little things we'd forgotten about; the peaceful setting and the little homely touches such as the welcome pack. The owner Mike was very helpful and even recognised us from our previous trip. He also had great communication prior to arriving and was very accommodating when we needed to change our dates due to work problems.
You couldn't ask for a better escape from the busy day to day life. The cottage is beautiful and so is it's enclosed garden which our dogs loved! I would highly recommend Stone Cottage to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing escape.
We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at the cottage Hope to see you again.
This cottage was perfect for our group. It was well outfitted and the pub just steps away was lovely.
Perfeckt old stone cottage in Peak District
Comfortable and well equiped cottage in a lovely quiet village in the PD. The approach available only adventurous hilltop and valley roads but lots of them narrow and slovly byroads. But there is normal roads to Hulm End. Use this to Alstonfield as fast approach and from Northeast to Wetton only 5 min. the narrow road. Other byroads use as short panorama trips only! It is a very nice landscape.
Of all the beauty spots in the Peak District, this western corner where it merges with the Staffordshire Moorlands is one of its hidden gems. The pretty village of Wetton is little changed from a time when most of its cottages were the homes of agricultural labourers, when farming was more labour intensive. The jumble of lush interlocking hills that tumble over one other to form the Manifold valley is one of the natural world’s great wonders, and from nearby Thor’s Cave you’ll get a magnificent bird’s-eye view of the scene that will have you gasping with pleasure (and possibly pain too – it’s a steep-ish climb up).
It’s very easy to just explore: all the footpaths, bridleways, and lanes are clearly marked. The area is perfect for exploring
